No Success with Renadyl for me....

Hello: Just wanted to post my experience with taking Renadyl. First, my Nephrologist never recommended it and I wondered why? Of course, if this did work for me, he couldn't recommend dialysis or a transplant and make money from it. A Renal Dietitian did recommend it. I tried Renadyl for six months but it didn't help me. My eGFR continued to decline. I am now in Stage 5 with my most recent eGFR of 10. FYI: I did request a refund under the Money Back Guarantee from Kibow. After much back and forth of emails, and two months wait, I did get a FULL refund minus shipping charges.

My conclusion is it didn't work for me, but it may or may not work for you. Since Probiotics are good to take and would not harm you, it it worth a chance, if you can afford it. For me, I am back at working with my diet of whole food plant based very low protein diet and take each day as it comes.

Think of this....if there was a true and scientifically proven way to stop the decline of CKD, don't you think that everyone would be on it..... beware of snake oil.

Thanks for your comment. And I already knew that, but since Nephrologists and Western Medicine have repeatedly proven that proper and attentive medical care is secondary to money for most practitioners, there is nothing wrong with trying something such as Renadyl Probiotics or Keto Acid Analogues that have scientifically been proven to benefit not cure those with CKD. They are not snake oil. Thanks again for your feedback. I was simply sharing my opinion to those who might be interested about my experience.

Dear FelineFandom147I too took Renadyl with little sucess and only got oral thrush as a result. One of the things with probiotics that need refrigeration is that the cold chain might not hold up. Probiotics are indeed good for people with CKD but you can't rely on it alone. Also Renadyl is expensive and not sustainable. Ask your dietician to suggest a probiotic that does not require refrigeration.

Thanks for your feedback. I was already taking a Probiotic which helped but there is scientific and medicine behind Renadyl, which was created by a Nephrologist so I figured I'd give it a shot. There is no cure but there are things that do help. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Thanks again.
