Update on neuroendocerine prostate cancer mets to liver.
As mentioned previously my husbands prostate cancer has now metastasised to his liver. He also has bone mets. He had 6 cycles of Etoposide and Carboplatin. This combination of chemo worked very well. As we are looking at getting Pluvicto for his bone mets we also organised an FDG scan. (As advised on

Feeling like Chemo is too Hard
Hi. I was diagnosed 3B HG in August 2018, had surgery, frontline, first recurrence ( carbo and caelyx/doxil), 3 years of Olaparib, one year on nothing and now am having carboplatin alone for second recurrence. My oncologist said this would be relatively easy. Also I haven’t had some of the worst complications

How to Know When Disimpaction is Complete
I'm doing disimpaction for my 7 year old. She's been constipated and on laxatives for years. I did 2 weeks of the sachet schedule and then 6 days adding bisacodyl tablet at night & suppository morning. She's had very watery stool (sometimes clear or light brown with just tiny bits spraying out, sometimes

worried
Hi there, I’ve been struggling with constipation for a few years but recently every 2-3 weeks when I actually need to go I get shocking pains that feel like I’m in labour but am constipated for ages and then awful runs that have blood. I have a niggly right hand pain, feel full very quick and not eating

ibs an a wee rant
Hi, it’s been a while since I last posted re ibs. It’s been 20 odd years that I’ve gradually suffered (more) with what I thought and was told was ibs. I’ve tried various diets/ over counter meds/ prescribed meds, basically spent a small fortune trying out various things. Over the last few years my diarrhoea

Hello friends 😊 Following my last tests (a bit over 2 months ago), I added vitamin b12 drops 3 days a week, have cut down my B complex to 1 capsule, and I taking a separate Folate supplement as this was getting quite high, and it was pointed out to me that it is a "Goldilocks vitamin" when trying to

Dense adhesions after 15 surgeries, + 2 rare medical conditions

I’m only 3 months into my possible IBS journey and am 6 days into a flare up. I did Dry February and was IBS free!! However we went on holiday and I had wine. BC Update with GP.
First I rang Macmillan and they thought it very odd my cancer had gone from high to low. So rang my consultants secretary and she was not there, the people in charge said they were not qualified to help. I saw my GP today and like myself had a letter with no details at the top, this matters because

Vitamins D and K7
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism nine months ago, and prescribed 50mcg levothyroxine per day. No mention was made of Vitamin D results or any related issues like ferritin,or B12. I take Vitamin D 2200iu throughout Winter, and, as of October 23, after some online research, added Vitamin K2, 100 ug.

any secondary cancers after thyroidectomy?
I’m just wondering if anyone has been diagnosed with a secondary cancer - particularly renal or bladder - after having thyroid cancer. I have read the chances are raised but I can’t find out by how much. I’m currently undergoing investigation. thank you x
