Good afternoon, I have been asked by my gp to take an over the counter B vitamin supplement that contains at least 400mcg of folic acid. I managed to buy Thorne Basic B complex with folate but I am finding the tablets difficult to swallow because of their size. Can anyone recommend another brand of vitamin B that contains folate or is it ok to just take a vitamin B with folic acid which is what seems to be sold in the UK. I am somewhat confused as to which is better folic acid or folate and why. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Just open Thorne capsule and tip powder in a container
Tip powder on to your hand and swallow with plenty of water
Drink any fizzy water or lemonade type pop and it relaxes the throat muscles to help you swallow tablets.
Folic acid is man made and not so bio available as folate I believe. Good luck😎
