hyperparathyroid removal

hello

I had a parathyroid surgery 2 and ahalf month ago

The surgeon remove 3.5 parathyroid gland and told me that i had hyperplasia

I started with 9 pills in a day of calcium and one pill of alfacalcidol

in the beginning i step by step reduce the amount of pills

today take 2 pills a day

My calcium level its fine 8.9 (range 8.4-10)

I have a lot of simptoms like extreme fatigue and muscle pain

Sometimes tingling in the lips

someone have experience with condition similar ?

I need to expect for improvement ?

My endo only say that my calcium is ok and nit pay attention to my symptoms

Hi Adam - I had the same surgery in 2018 and really struggle to maintain a normal calcium level…usually around 8. My feet tingle sometimes. My doctor mentioned that lip tingling can be a sign of low calcium, but I have not had that

Are you taking anything else that could cause lip tingling? I agree that you should find the cause.

my lips tingling don’t bother me

My extreme fatigue is my big problem
