Vitamin D metabolism in cancer: potential feasibility of vitamin D metabolism blocking therapy
Vitamin
D
circulates in the blood as inactive 25-D. The kidneys will convert 25-D to the active hormone 1,25-D, as needed, to maintain circulating calcium levels. Elsewhere, cells that need 1,25-D first produce the enzyme that performs the conversion of 25-D.

”Reduced b12” - panicking
Hi everyone, I must confess, about 3 months ago, I didn’t even know what b12 was! But I can only apologise for the essay you’re about to endure. My story is a fairly long and often confusing one but the upshot is, about 10/11 weeks ago, I began with what seems now to be a panic attack in work accompanied

Does Anyone Feel?
I take
Vitamin
D
and K2, methylated B complex, a seperate folate supplement as folate is often low, selenium. My B12 is very high due to shots. I eat a healthy plant based diet. I'm mostly gluten free and eat little dairy although my hypo isnt autoimmune.

Hi everyone, just a bit of background info: These are my NHS test results from Nov 2023: t4 13.8 (7-17) tsh 0.10 (0.20 - 4.50) although the TSH came back slightly under range at that time, thankfully the GP said “no action” so I have carried on with 75mcg (have been having my usual brands - no

I am still struggling terribly to tolerate any doseage of levo or lio - combo or mono. It makes me feel even worse/is completely debilitating. I have tried changing when I take the doses, the brand etc you name it and still no better. It’s notable that my blood pressure gets too low on it too. Am I

hypo/hashis pregnancy bloods and vitimins
hi there, Has anyone had experience of requesting monthly bloods from the GP when hypo and hashi and b pregnant? I am asking for monthly bloods for: iron studies, folate, vit D, B12, TPo and TGa antibodies. They are being very difficult around giving me all of these so my private endo got involved

Quick update on bloods - happy with analysis but posting for interest/comparison - also CRP info?
I have a
Vitamin
D
spray which I usually forget to take, need to get better on this. The one I'm quite interested in is CRP - I think this is a measure of inflammation?

iron supplements
hello! I wondered if anyone could recommend an iron supplement that has no nasties in? The GP suggested I go on it because I’m slightly anaemic. I am very careful with other supplements to not have additives that might trigger the AF (like B12, Vit D etc) but can’t seem to find an iron supplement that

When is best day of my cycle to get Female Hormone Test done if perimenopausal?
Getting a Female Hormone test done to see if my hormones are causing the fatigue rather than the hypothyroidism, as weakness & fatigue has got worse since taking Levothyroxine. The test is to check the main female hormones except projestorone. I was going to get it with Medichecks. When is the best day
