Any advice for a friend? Folate, ferritin and Vitamin D…
Hello… I have a friend who has been hypothyroid for decades, and is now late seventies. She has felt suddenly exhausted and put it down to life events, but had a FBC, which the GP said was ‘fine’. Having had such invaluable help from so many of you on here, I suggested she got the results emailed, and

Vitamin D
I have just read a post that suggests
vitamin
D
may increase palpitations in AF..My GP had suggested I take
vitamin
D
to help with the aches and pains of Polymyalgia. Seems one drug to help hinders another. I don't want to aggravate my afib. Has anyone any facts/opinions on this?

Blood result and raised MCV
, with
Vitamin
D
and ferritin levels gradually rising, albeit not quite optimal. There was a note that my MCV is above range in this latest batch of tests however.

Dr. John Campbell on Vitamin D and Prostate Cancer.
John Campbell discusses a (in his opinion good) meta-analysis of
Vitamin
D
and prostate cancer mortality. According to his assessment of the analysis,
Vitamin
D
reduces all-cause mortality in those with prostate cancer.

Possible over treatment with Levothyroxine
Hi everyone, I’m new to the site. It was suggested that I make a post following a comment I made replying to another post as I may benefit from some guidance on my current treatment. I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid 9 years ago. I have been treated with Levothyroxine throughout. Since 2020

Elevated Vitamin A in serum with no supplements
I do not take
vitamin
supplements besides
vitamin
D
, B and C, and that's really only on occasions (when my wife reminds me!). Researching web, just about everything that I've found on hypervitaminosis A, points to excessive use of supplements.

Strontium citrate results in regaining bone
For those who ask if bone can be regained without pharmaceuticals – you may be interested in this. I am 73 and was diagnosed with osteoporosis more than a decade ago. My bone density tests have shown continual decline. My doctor urged me to take Prolia but I declined. I researched strontium citrate,

First DEXA shows osteopenia - hoping for some advice please
Hello everyone, this is my first post to Bone Health, but I have posted to other Healthunlocked forums recently as I’m trying to work through my various health issues. I’m in the UK and hoping to get some advice from those more experienced than me please. I paid privately for my first DEXA scan in April
