Eyebrows have started growing again : )
haven't posted in ages because of health issues but do read posts. Seeing private endo at the moment and taking it very slowly with him and so far so good & gradually increasing levo. GP did a raft of tests recently and it showed low ferritin and low folate. She didn't consider worth doing anything

Should I increase my dose of Levo?
My potted history is in my profile. My current predicament is that after 7 months of feeling awful, on 5th July I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism (I could have told them earlier myself!), given Levothyroxine by the endocrinologist (50 micrograms per day), who said would test me again in two months.

Iron Ferrous Sulfate & Vitamin C
I just had an appointment with my neurologist. My ferritin is good but my Absolute Lymphocytes was 1.3 (a bit low) and my Absolute Monocytes was .33 so he is recommending Iron Ferrous Sulfate (325 mg) and Vitamin C (500 mg) three times a day. Anyone else taking these. I also take Magnesium Glycinate

Supplement overkill?
Hello, after my cancelled egg collection I am now going privately. During this time I’ve read ‘it starts with the egg’ and as I am 33 with an AFC of 4 and AMH of 3. something I started taking everything! Now I’m worried it is a bit overkill and also it’s really expensive. I know it’s hard for someone

Dont give up !
For everyone that has followed me there seems to be a happy ending. Following 21 yrs of various dopamine agonists for chronic Rls I realised that augmentation was off the scale. Consultant poo pooed that theory and upped my dose again to 6mgs. Yes it helped albeit for a short time. I went on holiday

Hypothyroid Symptoms
I am 44 and was diagnosed with an under active thyroid (autoimmune) 6 weeks ago after going to see the doctor really concerned about a muscle twitching problem I developed 2 years ago, shortly after having a baby. I herniated a disc in my back 4 years ago and it’s in my leg that I developed severe sciatica

T3 affecting sex hormones
Hi, I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid earlier this year. I am currently taking 25mg T4 (50mg caused significant bloating) and 30mg T3 as split doses. I'm on a high dose of adrenal support as my Cortisol & DHEA were shown to be very low in a Dutch test earlier this year. Since starting T3

Anyone's GP prepared to communicate with mine who won't concede I need B12 despite having all of the symptoms of deficiency for years?
Worsening peripheral neuropathy has spurred me on to get the B1 def acknowledged by my GP. I have been SI since after Covid when the GP was giving me once in three months injections and another stopped them....grrrr. He asked me to find someone he could talk to who has similar patients. He has tested

I got my results back for pernicious anemia! Looks like folate deficiency, but would really appreciate any comments
I finally got my blood test results back for pernicious anemia. It looks like I don't have it, and that my problem is folate deficiency. And low reticulocyte count which would be caused by low folate I suppose. My other results are all in range, though active B12 could maybe be higher I am thinking

As requested here are the results of my second attempt at Monitor my Health at their more sophisticated tests with thyroid, anemia/ ferritin, b12/ folate etc too. Most failed to produce results as Post Office 24 hour tracking show the blood sample was literally sitting in the Exeter sorting office for

Hi, can anyone offer any ideas as to why ferritin has jumped from 37(mid-June) to 85.4 this wk aside from infection please?
Hi Wonder if I can pick your brains again please? My ferritin was 48 prior to loading dose March/April, then lowered to 37 which I understand is normal thing to happen on the 8wk check. I’ve just completed a yearly pinprick test(I know maybe not as reliable, but sale on &needs must!) and ferritin has

Too much b12 please help?
Hi everyone, I'm reaching out for some guidance and advice. I've recently experienced tingling and muscle aches and neck and leg tingling , and I'm concerned it might be due to having too much B12 in my system. I had a blood test three weeks after my last B12 injection, and the results showed levels

I'm told it "can't be" MS because I am 75. However it "walks like a duck and talks like a duck," so I think it's quite possible that it IS a duck. A duck whose name is MS. I had a severe illness last spring and think I almost "bought the farm" as we say here in the US. It was an intestinal tract illness
