Hi all, I wonder if anyone on the forum is taking both Thyroxine and Alendronic Acid (AA)? I am taking a cocktail of drugs, as so many of us are, but have put off taking AA since diagnosed with PMR in 2022 - cannot believe where those 2 years went... I've been on Thyroxine (150 mcg/daily) for nigh

Advice on non-medication treatment of RLS required
I'm afraid I haven't posted for a long time! I am 74 and my symptoms have become more severe, causing real loss of sleep. A neurologist I saw recently wanted to put me on dopamine-agonist patches which I refused, tho' I am following her recommended course of B12 injections. I've had 9 of the 12 jabs

Advice about recent NDT thyroid blood tests and high SHBG
Hi there! Is there any connection between high SHBG and taking NDT thyroid medication? I've been feeling better than ever on my Erfa thyroid medication and I don't feel over medicated at all, but I had high SHBG. My estradiol also seems high. I've read that one reason for high SHBG can be hyperthyroidism

My B12 Stuffy Head
This came to me in part from my collaboration with Wwwdot utilizing PM. My B12 Stuffy Head is now my sign that I need more B12 which for me is more frequent injections which results in higher amounts in a 24 hour period. My sign for years was pain that was probably not necessary at the levels I experienced

A Missed Goal
I made a goal of making it to the winter solstice without being sun energy deprived. I failed. I did not know I was failing until there were two days in New Hampshire USA that were 4.5 degrees with no wind to speak of. I got two days of good sun and then crashed for three days. Part of the reason

B12 stored in liver ?
Hi I'm getting a little confused and trying to understand what is actually measured with blood tests... Does a serum Total B12 reflect what is or isn't stored in the liver at the time of the test or just what is circulating ? Does an Active B12 test measure the store differently, is the store in

Using up my B1 Thiamine.
I never got the hang of knowing when I used up my B12 as some experience. Likely as I was also B1 deficient. The only way to determine if you are B1 deficient is to do a trial. The blood test is useless. Functional Deficiency of a Vitamin may be nothing more than a work around for not understanding

Hi Guys I want to share with you an incredible success story which I hope will offer hope and inspire.. A year ago I was diagnosed with PA - barely able to function at 106 ng/L. I started loading doses followed by EOD self injection and spent most of December 2022 to February 2023 in bed in pain,

ALS and B12
I ran across an article that was interesting, if for no other reason, for its quite detailed description of B12 deficiency. Scroll down to the heading, "Vitamin B12 levels and MND/ALS". https://jmedicalcasereports.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/1752-1947-4-298

is everyone else not getting diagnosed or much treatment?
I’ve had severe period pain for years, when I wasn’t taking painkiller in time I would be sick and feel faint. I have tried paracetamol and ibuprofen in the pad which did nothing. I took naproxen 500mg which used to completely block my pain but now only stops it being severe. More recently I’ve been
