Tortuous colon
At my last colonoscopy (at age 60) the doc told me, upon awakening, that I had a "tortuous" colon. This was a surprise to me as I've had 3 or 4 previous colonoscopies in my life and have never been told that before. I have suffered with bloat, discomfort, gas, and other issues throughout my life, though

when to take tablets
I have had my thyroid problem since 1992 and when I was just taking my thyroxine , when to take it was not a problem. Now I have atrial fibrillation and have to take 1/2 tablet of Apocard with a blood thinner 12 hours apart with food. I also have to take a beta blocker with food but not with the Apocard

Eye drops
I've been diagnosed with ocular hypertension in both eyes and using Latanaprost drops at night. No real problems so far other than dry eyes later on in the day. My brother has Latanaprost too and he puts his drops in each eye but at the same time then presses on the tear duct for 2 minutes. The leaflet

hello my Ataxian friends, how are you all doing, ok I hope….. an update on myself. I had cataracts removed from both eyes a couple of years ago, my vision now is amazing, and the colors are beautiful, but the new lenses are long distance only, you don’t get a choice, so I still wear glasses for reading

Collagen Supplements
Hello all...does anyone have any advice or guidance please on whether taking collagen supplements is a good/bad idea alongside thyroid meds? My skin and hair are terribly dry and I was wondering if they might help. But I'm about worried about including them in the regime if there are contraindications

Health News: Nourishment for Eyes
When my Mom was 6, an Alsatian (German Shepherd) dog jumped up on her, jarring her head round to look, left her with a cast in her right eye. Known as strabismus, the ancient Greek for squinting. More accurately, it means the affected eye can’t really focus and can thus appear as a cross-eye. Off her

Blurry Vision
I have recently begun treatment - I'm just about 2 months in. I began with a Rituxan infusion once a week for 4 weeks. Concurrently, I began Calquence (acalabrutinib) and Allopurinal, which I will take indefinitely. Shortly after beginning treatment, I began experiencing blurred vision, which continues

Need your input
I am not asking for a medical opinion. I am hoping to get this soon after studying the Epstein Barr virus, MS and my symptoms. Have any of you been diagnosed with the Epstein Barr virus? Do any of you have tinnitus, iritis, vertigo and tendons? I started to have numbness in the back of my neck,

Help please
I just posted, but I’m not sure that it went through. I’m really struggling. Been dealing with super severe anxiety for almost 2 years and I’m at the end of my rope. It feels like I have tried almost everything to get better—CBT therapy, hypnotherapy, medications, coping skills like exercise, meditation

Ongoing anxiety-need suggestions
Hi all! I have been dealing with debilitating anxiety for almost 2 years now. No matter what I do, it only seems to get worse. I’ve been on a pharmacy of medications, see a therapist weekly to do CBT, try all these different coping skills. Lately I’m having a lot of suicidal thoughts because I feel

Hylo Forte or Carbomer Gel?
I have been using hypromellose eye drops for a while because, particularly from Spring to autumn, I have itchy, gritty, dry eyes. This year they're worse than ever making my vision very blurred and no amount of hypromellose will fix it. Last week I went to get my eyes tested, thinking the blurred vision

Preventable Corneal Abrasion
Recently I went to a recycling centre on a windy day. I usually wear eye protection glasses but had forgotten to put them in the car. Within 5 minutes some dust had blown into my 'good eye' and it was very painful. Everyone was busy shaking out bags briskly all around me. Luckily I was not driving

My new Rux journey
See end for reason for the image. -- I've been on Rux for just over a month. As posted I switched from Bes after the IFN and Flu Vax blew up on me. I'm at 20 BID (10x2/day). So far nothing bad that's clearly Rux guilty has happened . I held CHR for three months off IFN. But it's starting to

You can bet that the last line of the conclusion: “[i]SSD may be an important determinant of dissatisfaction with treatment and care among
