Unfortunately I've had to use my main hospital three times in past six weeks I was in once for chest waited 21hours for a bed, in for eight day ,once for cataract removed ,and once for dreadful back pain ,except for cataract removed where they were marvelous with me ,I was so sorry for the nurses rushed of there feet at my admission .To hear today that my nephew was sent home yesterday after being prepared for theatre bebecause no bed for after op ,then just heard my daughter appointment for tomorrow call of only for wisdom teeth pull ,but they need the anesthetist, all ops and procedures been cancelled as can't cope ,the worse is jet to come ,in wales where we are we come under the health board of bestsi cadwaladre to here on the news an investigation has bean set up , as would you believe one hundred and twenty two million has gone missing unaccounted for ,yes you've read correct ,it hasn't said corruption, as investigation is to take place ,but it is unaccounted for ,my blood boils to think the medical profession are on there knee on the shop floor so to speak betsi cadwaladre you are a dam disgrace

Sorry to hear that but all too common I`m afraid. Don`t blame the NHS, put the blame entirely on this tory government. Write to your MP and complain, write to the Health Sec., aka useless Barclay, write to Sky News, etc. etc. and try to stay away from hospitals.

So sorry for your health issues and that of your family. Yes these are tricky times. I agree with LissacFrance, do email your MP about these difficulties and ensure that you pop your postcode on the email the he/she will be able to read it.

Keep well.

The care I have found is so very variable. The care I received on the medical decisions unit recently of a large midlands hospital was outstanding. The follow up care from a telephone consultation whereby I was addressed by another patients name and which went downhill from there was at best sloppy and at worse posed possible dangerous issues further down the line.

The letter to my GP after this telephone consultation was inaccurate and although I had given a full list of the many meds I take it was summerised as'takes inhalers'!

As an ex SRN I was saddened - child number 2 who is a doctor and rarely passes judgement on others was less than impressed.

But as I have said a/e were outstanding in their kindness skill and compassion under horrendous conditions.
