I hate Covid!
So here I am AGAIN with Covid. The last bout was in October last year, so I've had a few clear months this time. When I've had it before, I know that it depletes my B12 and makes me feel awful, and each and every time, I know that I need extra jabs. So, when I came down with it 10 days ago, why didn't

Colds/flu/viruses and Thyroxine
Just wondering is there any link to having Hashimotos and not having any colds/flu/viruses. The reason I ask is that I never got sick, with the usual colds etc for many years. I just started thyroxine a few months ago. Now I have a really horrible virus, coughing, temperature, flu like symptoms. This

IVF in Spain for male factor
Hi All,I've decided to go to Spain for ICSI IVF mainly because we want to try fresh surgically retrieved sperm (through sync egg retrieval and TESA/PESA) and our local clinic doesn't offer this option, only freezing sperm in advance. Can you please private message me with your feedback and results from

Covid
I tested positive for covid yesterday. It's not in my chest yet but I have all the other symptoms. I feel pretty rotten. I have NASH cirrhosis, diabetes, high BP high cholesterol, GERD. I take medications for all except cirrhosis. My hepatologist says it's ok to take that drug that's for covid. I

Lyme Disease
Hello, I hope everyone is feeling as well as possible. Can I ask about links between Lyme Disease and RA? What is actually known? My daughter was talking about ticks the other day (we are both walkers) when I said I had had (in my late teens) a bullseye mark from a tick on my leg, she said ‘well that

Battling Outbreaks
Hi everyone, I suffer from outbreaks every once in awhile especially if I get sick. I only take valtrex as needed for the 3 days to suppress . Am currently in an asthma flare and already dealing with an outbreak and I need to take prednisone which usually gives me an outbreak. Not sure weather I should

PMR like symptoms r/t chronic tooth abscess?
Most recently it's been discovered I had a tooth abscess. The dentist belive I had tooth infection for a long time. Prior to leaving for the Camino I had this tooth removed. Is this the root (no pun) cause of my infection raising my inflammatory markers since 2021 which return inflicted PMR like symptoms

fatigue article
not sure this link will work as this comes via my Apple News, if not this article was written in The Atlantic. It’s about Long Covid and other fatigue disorders and a good chunk of it is a great crossover to what we experience in PBC. I recall when we first started hearing about Long Covid telling

Low AMH downhearted 4th round
Hi, I have had 3 rounds of IVF in the past 20months and am now 35yrs of age. One resulted in a missed miscarriage at 7weeks and the other two I had nothing to transfer as we have also undergone genetic testing due to an issue on my side. We've been very fortunate in that these cycles were NHS funded

Immature eggs at egg collection
Second round of IVF, first round we got 8 eggs but poor fertilisation, only 2 fertilised and we transferred one day 3 which was a BFN. None to freeze. This round we changed to ICSI and we got 11 eggs but only 4 were mature. Will find out tomorrow how many fertilised with ICSI. I’ve cried so much since

Shingles vaccine?
I unknowingly (until after) had shingles in March 2023 which I believe, triggered first episode of Afib. Now thinking about having the vaccine, concerned that it will trigger Afib. What are people's experiences of having the vaccine? Do I need it yet. Maybe still have antibodies in my system? Will

Cramping at 10 weeks
Hi everyone I’m currently 10+3 after a successful ICSI cycle. I am getting a bit worried about cramps that have started today and have continued all day.
