Hi All,I've decided to go to Spain for ICSI IVF mainly because we want to try fresh surgically retrieved sperm (through sync egg retrieval and TESA/PESA) and our local clinic doesn't offer this option, only freezing sperm in advance.
Can you please private message me with your feedback and results from clinics in Spain?
My husband has azoospermia and we have very low fertilization rates, only got 1 embryo from first ICSI cycle (out of 12 mature eggs) and 2 from the second (out of 8 mature eggs). We transferred 2 embryos and both negative, one still frozen. Maybe if we can make more embryos we can have a better chance.
First clinic in Spain we talked to didn't really offer anything different apart from the use of fresh sperm, so I am a bit disappointed.

My Spanish clinic used a technique called MACs to identify the best sperm for icsi. I think it’s quite standard in that all Spanish clinics offer it. That said our male factor was quite mild.
We have sperm issues too, good concentration but low motility and high DNA frag. Additional techniques we will now try abroad are PICSI and the zymot test. My partner will also do a sperm aspiration procedure to see if this sample is better compared to ejaculate. Wishing you a successful cycle!
