I am getting a bit worried about cramps that have started today and have continued all day. I have had the odd twinge and cramp along the way, but they haven’t really lasted long - whereas these cramps have lingered today.
I contacted the EPU but they couldn’t offer me an appointment until Monday afternoon. They have advised if I start bleeding or the cramps get severe, to present at A&E.
I am not bleeding, but I am not feeling reassured about this as I am still taking progesterone - so I am afraid that this could be holding off any spotting or bleeding.
I suppose I am wondering if any of you have had cramping appear at this stage that turned out to be normal? I know that it can be normal, but it doesn’t stop me from thinking of the worst!
I don’t think I realised how worried I was until she told me that they couldn’t see me

sorry that they turned you away. Could you get a private scan to give you some reassurance? There are many places in London. Not sure where you’re based. If you don’t have bleeding that’s really encouraging. Xx
Unfortunately there don’t seem to be too many private scan clinics near me, and any I’ve checked are appointment only, with nothing available until next week either.
Trying to keep busy…and hoping that the cramps pass soon
Hi, I have had cramps and all sorts of different feelings on and off since the beginning, i am now at 19 weeks and everything has been normal up to now. I also had spotting on and off from 5 weeks to 10 weeks.
Try not to worry too much, i know it's easier said than done though.
I started stressing a little less when i passed the 12 weeks mark.
yup I started cramping a lot at 10 weeks was sure something was wrong went for a scan yesterday at what I thought was 10+4 baby measuring 11 and kicking its legs like it was going up for football trials so I guess the cramping was a growth spurt 🙂
Sorry to hear about the cramping. I had it until 12 weeks when I stopped the progesterone and then it disappeared too. Fingers crossed all is well with the little one!
Yes I had cramping that turned into tummy pain, really hard to describe, but actual pain and it was scary and worrying. But it's actually quite common to have cramping. I also had some spotting on and off, sometimes with the cramping or pain and sometimes without. All seems to be ok (26 weeks now!) it's so so hard not to stress and worry about every symptom. All was OK for me. I had a 9 week scan at clinic and they found a small hematoma which had gone by 13 week scan.
