I tested positive for covid yesterday. It's not in my chest yet but I have all the other symptoms. I feel pretty rotten. I have NASH cirrhosis, diabetes, high BP high cholesterol, GERD. I take medications for all except cirrhosis. My hepatologist says it's ok to take that drug that's for covid. I am really worried about taking it. Anybody took it for covid?

Covid
Hi, I had covid twice last year, I'm post transplant, both times I was given the antiviral treatments, tested negative after few days and only had mild symptoms. If you are offered it take it, as far as I'm aware I didn't have any side effects.Hilary
Yes I took it and although I try not to be pessimistic I had to stop taking it two days into taking the medication and I was so dizzy I had to stop. But then two days after that I was clear of covid. Seemingly it is a side effect so you may not even be affected that way. Hope you feel better soon good luck .

Are you referring to Paxlovid? It has a lot of drug interactions. Please check your drugs to see if they have interactions with it.
I’ve avoided Covid so fat and U would be as conflicted as you but I think would take treatment if I got it. There is more than just paxlovid now: nhs.uk/conditions/covid-19/.... In the latest guidance it suggested: eligible patients take this drug: “Molnupiravir may be offered to liver patients as there is no published data (as of November 21) to indicate that molnupiravir is associated with liver toxicity. ” gov.uk/government/publicati.... I hope this helps, get well soon
I took paxlovid no problem , I am also on 15 different medications
