Looking for typical Prednisone reduction schedule new on Actemra
Haven't been around much lately. This has probably been the worst, six months of my seven years with pmr and final recent eye surgery for double vision 7.8 Have spent the last six months deciding on starting Actemra at the urging of my rheumatologist. Round and round with insurance (U.S.) appeal, re-submission

Finally Referred To Audiology
I have not posted in a while. Some of you may remember my hearing dropped off significantly and I developed tinnitus after a nasty bout of Covid Delta in late 2021. Despite endless drops, syringing and micro-suction the problem has remained. The tinnitus was worse was I was on courses of exotic anti-biotics

low cortisol
hello, I’ve repeatedly had lowish 9am cortisol (around 250ish mark) but passed SST. However, private endo has said he wants to trial a low dose of hydrocortisone to see if it helps my symptoms of chronic fatigue, headaches, muscle aches etc. etc. I’m nervous to trial a steroid when I don’t have Addison

Pyelonephritis
Hi there. I was diagnosed last Friday with a UTI which travelled up into the kidneys causing unbelievable pain. I had to go to A&E in the middle of a night and this is when I was diagnosed and they gave me some antibiotics, seven day course of which I finished on Friday. But I still had some back pain

Is Riding a Bike possible after having Radiation Cystitis w/ hematuria, 18 months after HBOT treatment
It is been 18 months since my last Hyperbaric Oygen Treatment for radiation cystitis. I had bleeding with clots multiple times which sent me to the ER. I have not had any bleeding since then, except one time a few months ago while doing exercises related to physical therapy. My urologist says as long

Cystoscopy or not to cystoscopy
The urologist who referred me for the Ultra sound scan and cystoscopy is now away until the 29th August however the NHS have sent me an appointment for the cystoscopy next Friday, 16th. The urology department when making the appointment remarked that the USS had come back normal with no focal lesions

DIPNECH diagnosis.
DIPNECH - carcinoid lung nodules. Has anybody had this recognised as cancer by DWP when there is minimal cancel active, although present? I was told by an ILD consultant at Rbh that they don’t? Even though it requires regular Pet CT scans. Bella.

Does GCA affect eyes in an all-or-nothing way, or are there degrees?
Hello GCA folks, I am on month 3 of prednisone (currently 15 mg), after PMR diagnosis in early June. Age 60. My question for you is: when your GCA came on, did you experience a sudden loss of vision, or did it come on gradually? And if gradual, did it affect all ranges (i.e., near, mid- and distance

Urinary Incontinence
I have been able to totally stop my incontinence by doing Kegel Exercises! I occasionally still do them if I happen to think about it. I highly recommend this exercise since it is effective, and takes absolutely no energy and can be done anywhere at anytime.
