Verapamil
Hello there. Quick question, I have read the literature on the tablet and posts, but can anyone tell me if Verapamil is categorised as a blood thinner. Sorry I know it’s a beta blocker but that’s calcium. I’m currently on other medication and I’m checking if they are working against each other

Calcium and Levothyroxine
I've heard that I must not have any Calcium intake four hours before and after taking Levothyroxine, as the calcium absorbs the drug, lessening its effectiveness. Has anybody else heard of this?

are CTx numbers supposed to be extremely under range while on prolia?
is that the point of anti resorptive? is P1NP supposed to be upper range on prolia, or lower range on prolia? my Mum's numbers are low. but the tests haven't been done for years, i don't think, and they were run within 3 months of prolia doses, so the ctx would be expected to be low? and Mum's

understanding test results
recently been told my b12 levels are on the low side and have had 4 out of my 5 loading doses. Just checked the rest of my blood test results and some of my levels are out of ref range. I don’t really understand them all. I’m currently 12 weeks pregnant if that changes anything. I feel pretty pants if

Flares trying to get from 9 mg to 8 mg
I got PMR in May 2023 and I was diagnosed in Sept 2023. I started on 20 mg and have tapered down to 9 with just one flare. I did a 5 week taper March 1st, trying to get from 9 to 8 mg, but at the end of the 5 week plan on an 8 mg dose, I started getting groin and hip pain and morning stiffness. I tried

I am taking synthroid (50 mg) for about 15 years.......after doing my own research there is an effect on bone density. I was diagnosed with OP about 10 years ago due to an early menopause at 38 and was put on the weekly medication of Alendronic Acid along with calcichew. Everything was ok until 2021 when I had emergency abdominal surgery, I was in ICU for nine days and my family were told I only had a 30% chance of

Raised Blood Pressure on Nifidipine
was previously on ramipril in order to medicate as stage 1 hypertensive and needed protection as had Thoraic Ascending Aneurysm. My BP on this averages around 120/80. The TAA was repaired last year with OHS. In order to counteract oesophageal issues I now take Nifidipine which is a calcium channel blocker

Advice on Blood results please?
Hi, I'm not diagnosed with any thyroid problems but have had numerous blood tests over the last 4 years because of severe menopause symptoms that have not responded to HRT. Would you be able to have a look and see what you think please? I have also included some of the vitamins tested.

Anyone else with Jak2 PV have difficulty walking and leg pain?
I'm new here and really happy I found this forum. I've been diagonsed with Jak2 positive PV a year ago, after feeling unwell for a couple of years, and after my blood tests have been abnormal for quite a while. For the past year, I've been on aspirin and Phlebotomies, which have kept my Hematocrit under

Questions for Endocrinologist
Today is the day, I am finally seeing an endocrinologist. Any suggestions of things to ask? Trying to be optimistic about the appointment but quietly cautious. Below are the questions I have so far: - FT3 measurement to ensure adequate conversion - Pregnancy monitoring and appropriate FT4 and TSH levels

Cramps
I have PBC and am in 70s. Does anyone else have terrible muscle spasms, cramps in legs and hands? These seem to be worse at night or after relaxing on a sofa. I try to drink lots of water, take magnesium and calcium tablets but some nights it's waking me every hour. I have to get up and walk on

Do any of you have problems with your parathyroid glands? My calcium was slightly over range and PTH was 7.4 just over the higher end of range(7.2) I was wondering if there’s a connection with thyroid problems and parathyroid..I have graves.

Drugs and high Calcium
My Oncologist wants me to take Prolia, but the Insurance will not pay for it and wants me to take Zometa. However, I did research on Zometa and its reputation is questionable. What are the alternatives? Xgeva seems better. Any thoughts about this.
