Vaccination of household contacts of severely immunosuppressed people
This is separate from the unpaid carers
vaccination
programme. So if you're on the shielding list due to heavy immunosuppression you can expect a letter any day in Scotland, hopefully soon if elsewhere. Appointments for household contacts are to be arranged via the
vaccination
helpline.

Restrictions lifted 19th July
Hi fellow lungies! Just wondering how everybody with lung problems / conditions are feeling about every Covid precaution being lifted on July 19th? I am feeling very nervous. My Copd nurse told me to still be very cautious. I have COPD and Bronchiectasis and that if I caught this Delta variant it

RA and Covid vaccination
Was anyone told to stop some medications before and after Covid
vaccination
? I wasn’t and have had no reactions to either jab. Now worried they will not be effective as I did not stop my metijet and Benepali and prednisolone

The price of freedom?
Firstly I am in NI so it's by no means certain we will follow the easements taken in England, despite the new health Secretary expressing a desire for all nations to move as one. I hope not. I do understand that the majority of people will be OK, I do accept I may not be. Life is a lottery. I came

Early Israeli data signals Delta strain may bypass vaccine, cause mild illness.
Rising coronavirus cases in Israel, where most residents are inoculated with the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, offer “a preliminary signal” the vaccine may be less effective at preventing mild illness from the Delta variant, a top expert said Monday. Calling UK CLLers - Is government about to abandon support for protective monoclonal antibodies?
There is ample evidence now that many CLL patients don't respond well to
vaccination
against the SARS-COV2 virus. At least, a sizeable fraction don't develop measurable antibodies.

Working, CLL and Covid
Hi, I am about to start a new teaching position after a career break of two years. Suddenly occupational health are saying I have to undergo a Covid risk assessment and may not be allowed to teach in class. I know I won't get the job if I can't work in person. Anyone else out there working with CLL?
