Hello, I was just wondering peoples opinions and how this has been done, I have wanted to travel to Cyprus to have treatment but with COVID me and my husband haven’t been able to get there.
I have just found out my colleague has travelled to Nigeria for treatment a few months ago with no vaccinations for ivf treatment. She is 44 and it has worked. I’m also worried about my age at 36 that my time is too late. Me and my husband really would like a baby and have had 3 failed rounds in the uk. I’m surprised at 44 it has worked. Please give me your thoughts or wisdom as I need it. Thank you

Hi Tilly. Yes, that's lovely to hear that someone was successful at 44. Obviously, travelling abroad is a bit up in the air just now, but keep an eye on the news and travel association to see what is to happen in the coming weeks. perhaps you will be able to sneak away sooner than you think. Good luck! Diane
Hi Tilly, I’ve literally just landed home in the UK from a DE round of ivf in the Czech Republic. Travel guidance is constantly changing but all throughout COVID lockdown travel for medical reasons has been allowed, I had a letter from my clinic which I presented to border control at both ends on my way over (really glad they asked for it as it shows they are following rules and not just letting anyone travel for no reason). If Cyprus is an amber country like Czech was then it is certainly doable. And I believe the home quarantine regulations if you are UK based are about to change next week for amber countries which will make it far easier.
The admin is possibly the most daunting, making sure you have all your tests booked and dates lined up etc. Once researched and booked it was remarkably easy the travel itself!! The idea of it was worse than the reality for sure. Feel free to ask my any questions xx
