Covid kid update, partially long rant
We are near our covid kid’s isolation period. She tested positive on Thursday July first and and has been in quarantine since that morning. Since bringing her home, we’ve kept her isolated, put up an exhaust fan in her room (pulls room air outside) , ran the air purifier with hepa filters 24/7, put

Why won’t Fauci address the issue of boosters for immune-compromised people?
I was just reading Dr Fauci’s comments about Covid boosters not being necessary at this time for fully vaccinated Americans….with no mention of those who are immune-compromised needing them. This infuriated me, and makes me think that the government will reject Pfizer’s request for booster authorization

After my first
vaccination
I noticed that my raised lymph nodes in my neck reduced in size and didn't come back up. This morning I can barely find the node on my left side and my right one is further reduced. Might be wishful thinking but strange!!

Pain in ribs on my back and peak flow is down
I did have my first
vaccination
last Sunday. For my asthma, I am on fostair 200/6); salbutamol (biggest dose you can) - 2 puffs as and when I need it; and also montelukast (20mg) at night. Does anyone have any advice on what this might be or can advice me on what actions I should take next.

I am thoroughly confused and how safe I am now that I’ve been double vaccinated. Can our

How afraid of COVID variants should we be?
More than four million. That’s how many people have been killed by COVID-19 globally as of Thursday. At least, that’s the officially reported number. As SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19, continues to spread, it is mutating. It is those new strains of the virus that are largely driving

Reduced vaccine efficacy
Greetings from israel, where we were first to vaccinate the majority (all Pfizer) and also appear to be first to lose protection over time. We are seeing about 40% of the cases now in vaccinated individuals. The vast majority have a mild illness and the efficacy against severe disease still appears

Confusion over vaccine efficacy for MPNS
A headline this morning seems to be focused on the dangers to people with immune deficiency and the lack of protection afforded to this group. Blood cancers seem to be singled out when discussing this group. I recognise that there is a huge difference between people with an MPN and those with leukaemia

Antibody test after vaccine
This may give some vallidation on the theory that a wider wait between first and second
vaccination
gives a better imune response. Sorry about my spelling mistakes :)
