Hello loveliesšŸ‘‹šŸ¼

Iā€™m really unsure what to do and was wondering what everyone else was thinking about this situation.

My work have offered me the covid vaccine Iā€™m not directly on the front line but I work alongside.

My treatment has currently been put on hold as my clinic is closed due to the pandemic.

My clinic have said that those who are trying to become pregnant do not need to avoid pregnancy after vaccination.

Because my clinic is closed itā€™s hard to get hold of them and Iā€™m just slightly worried that if I have my first vaccine and the clinics open will I be able to resume treatment or will I need to wait till my second one... thereā€™s just so many questions I have as Iā€™m sure so many more women do... And I just do not know what to do!!

Hey there! I went through the same dilemma as there was previously mixed advice. As I understand now, you can have your first dose and do not need to delay beginning treatment. Personally I had a few days of side effects but I had over a week before I began preparing for FET, so i felt fine to begin. If I become pregnant the advice I was given is not to have the 2nd dose. I decided I at least wanted 1 dose worth of protection as it eliminates some risk of covid affecting me mid treatment. You can always decide on the second dose at a later stage. Good luck with your treatment xx

I had my 1st dose of the astra Zeneca vaccine on Saturday. Was slightly unwell for 2 days with fever, aches and feeling hungover is the best way to describe it. Had appt today with clinic (FET) and going ahead with transfer next Wednesday. It hasnā€™t altered anything and Iā€™m content knowing even with 1 dose I have some protection. Hope that helps

Thank you so much, I was unsure if they would carry out my treatment in between vaccinations! Hopefully when my clinic reopens Iā€™ll be able to get straight back in to it! X

Hi albbbxo. I was recently informed that you are safe to have the Covid-19 vaccine 7 days prior to treatment or 7 days after treatment, so you should be OK. Diane
