I'm venting...... š
Hi everyone, I'm gonna apologize right now cause I'm venting. š£ You don't have to read it. And thank you to the ones who stick it out. I'm sure my story is a familiar one. Being accurately staged? Is this something that can be done? I read about so many of us who have been told one thing by our doctors

Fibro scans
Anyone that has had a fibroscan , do u think they tell the truth. Had one said i was 0 to 1. When i was a 2 with my liver biopsy in 2015. My levels are in range. How can this be. Does progress keep going even while taking urso?

Newly diagnosed - Urso & side effects.
Hi all I joined in June after my GP suspected PBC from my blood test results. Fast forward 4 months after consultant appointments, a liver biopsy and a fibroscan, I was officially diagnosed with PBC last week, so I'm now a proper member of the club! However, I have a question - re Urso and side effects

Mayo clinic
Has anyone gone to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, USA for diagnosis of PBC and then followed up. I have PBC for past 7 years now. I take Urso regularly and see gastro once a year. My results are not normal but itās only slightly high. I was wondering if Mayo Clinicās diagnosis be any different from already

Alt phas creeping up
So my Alt Phas went from 143 to 175. No apparent reason. Dr. Sent me for another ultrasound. The first one was done 2 years ago. When I was diagnosed with PBC. The one done yesterday showed the cirrhosis but it was the same as two years ago. No change. So I guess the Urso is doing its job at slowing

Itching in hands and feet only - anyone else have this?
Hi folks, I was diagnosed with PBC some years ago now at only 29. I am on urso, my liver seems to be doing really well and I'm generally reasonably healhy except for the itching I have been struggling with for the last 3-4 years. I know those with PBC often suffer "the dreaded itch" but I wondered if

Generic brand of urso
hello, I've just picked up my urso and the brand seems to have changed. I used to Ursofalk 500mg and now it's Cholurso 500mg. I asked pharmacist about it and was told this is a generic brand now and not the original makers of urso and it is cheaper for nhs and should not affect me in any other way.

Acupuncture and Naturopathy
Hello everyone. This is my first post. I was diagnosed with PBC in 2015. Have been on URSO since. As of today I am an URSO responder and I am asymptomatic. I have been doing a lot of research on trying to heal the body and reduce inflammation. In hopes of "reversing the disease". I recently met

Possible Endo with interstitial cystitis. Pressure feeling, frequent urination, pelvic pain
The pain lessen, but the.UTI symptoms remained so he prescriebed me antibiotics and
uva
ursi
which help a.little bit , but I still have occasionally pain and pressure feeling in my genital area. I don't know exactly where I feel this but I know something is really off and weird.

Is there a connection?
Hi, my first time here. I have a fairly long backstory to my issues, so if you don't mind, I'll bullet point for ease of reading. I'm a fat, fair, female of forty-nine. 2008 - Severe abdo pain with high Lfts. No Gallstones on U/S. Gastroscopy normal. Resolved spontaneously after 2 weeks. Incidental

Constant hot flushes causing itch to worsen
Hi all, Iāve been on URSO since Dec 2015 and had intermittent bouts of itching. More noticeable when Iām tired or stressed, but my LFTs have come right down to normal levels and fibroscan shows liver is healthy. Just this last few weeks though Iāve started getting waves of heat all over my body, like

Just been diagnosed with PBC
I had never heard of PBC 6 weeks ago so was totally stunned when my GP explained what is was. Seen the specialist and had an ultrasound and a bone density scan being arranged. I haven't had any symptoms apart from pain in my ribs and right hip which I put down to age. I am now on the Urso tablets

Alk Phas Rising
I was diagnosed two years ago. Iām on 1000 mg of Urso daily. My alk phas has always run between 130 and 140. My dr was happy with those numbers. All of the sudden it has jumped up to 175. I always maintain a healthy diet and exercise along with yoga. I was wondering if this has ever happened to anyone

MRE with evidence of fibrosis ptogression
I was diagnosed in 2016 and have been on URSO since then. Thought to have been in very early stages. Labs initially only slightly elevated (Alk phos and ALT) but quickly normalized. MRE (MRI with Elastography -thought to be more sensitive than fibroscan) 3/2016 showed no fibrosis only inflammation -
