Hi I’ve got PBC ( diagnosed in Jan 2015)Struggle on full dose of urso so only take 450 mg which has brought my gut down from 130 to normal.I was primarily diagnosed because of nodules on my liver and pancreas which they tell me is ‘normal’ .In fact if I don’t kick off they don’t check them.Ive now got nodules on the remaining half of my thyroid but what I’m really posting for is does anyone suffer BAD from acid reflux( or is it bile reflux)I daren’t take the omaprozole since the horror stories about dementia but I’m living off Gaviscon liquid and tablets daily and nothing seems to work.Cannot get a docs appointment as there isn’t even any ‘on the premises ‘ apparently.

Acid
My daughter in law is only 25 and has terrible reflux and a hiatus hernia. She is a singing and music teacher so it has quite an effect on her voice. She is going to have surgery which is quite rare. Tomorrow she's going to have a tube put down her nose into her esophagus for 24 hours whilst they monitor the severity of her reflux.
i just had a tube down my nose but only whle they took a photo of my throat and whatever is down there. iv had a croaky voice for around 9 weeks which comes and goes. my doctor sent me to the hospital to see an oncologist. i got the appoinment very quickly in two weeks. i was very worried he said i had acid refulx that was silent but im feeling it now he told me to take gaviscon at night before bedtime. i will see my gp on friday as i was so nervous when i was at the hospital i'v forgotten a lot of things that he said to me. he said it usually clears up on its own. i hope so.

I had an operation called fundoplication, it worked wonders
Please take care

I have suffered from gerd for many years but of late, it has worsened.
Have to take pantoprazole 20mg once a day which I am not overly happy about. Think it is stomach acid not bile acid though
