Question re: Ablation of Liver Mets
Hello! I've had liver mets - in addition to bone - for a little over a year. When I was scheduled for a biopsy of the liver (a year ago), I asked my doc if they could ablate the tumor at that time and she "found/chose" a surgeon who would do this. So it seemed to be non-routine. I received a bill

My docetaxel experience so far
For those who may be interested, I started docetaxel chemo on 20th October and have just had my 3rd infusion on 8th December. I did moderate fasting the day before for the first infusion but haven't bothered since. I wore iced gloves and socks and munched on ice cubes during the chemo sessions. I've

Cold virus
I’ve had PMR for two years now and on 8mg pred attempting my second tapering cycle. I’ve have a really heavy cold now for over a week which started as a mild cold for two weeks before that. Mum grew her angel wings
hi all, I just wanted to write a post on here as I sadly lost my mum last week after a 7 year battle with PSP. Although it was pneumonia that took her in the end. I just wanted to write on here to say, give your loved ones suffering an extra big hug this Christmas and remember to be their loved one

What is Melanoma?
Melanoma begins in melanocytes – the cells that produce the pigment melanin that colours the skin, hair and eyes. Melanocytes also form moles, where melanoma often, but not always develops. I have had RLS for over 20 years and have tried most medications, the latest being Pregabalin, which was good but is now not working so well. I therefore asked my GP if I could try Targinact as I read this is now licensed for RLS. He has agreed and I just need to taper Pregabalin. Can anyone

For ILC or Lobular ladies
This video was released within the last 10 days from by LBCA (Lobular Breast Cancer Alliance). Highlights of 2023 International ILC Symposium. The video is about 2 hours long with a lot of info. I want to listen again because of all the info. A couple things I initially took away all or almost all

'Headspin'
I'm sure we have all had a 'Spinning Head' at some time or other, especially since being diagnosed with CLL. Many of us soon realise that CLL is soon joined by a host of other Diagnosis and Prognosis, which can overwhelm us at times,, thus the perpetual 'Headspin'. After five years of W&W, I was told

Flu, antibiotics and Levo
I’m recovering from quite a bad flu I’m having to take antibiotics 4 times a day, now this is my question. I’m having very severe headache they are worse after my dose of levothyroxine which I’m leaving the 4 hour gap with. Could it just be the antibiotic hasn’t knocked the headache part of the illness
