Chronic UTI’s
Hi all. Just looking for a bit of advice and to see really if anyone is or has been in a similar position as myself. January 2019 - had the worst pelvic pain and pain passing urine. Went to GP and they said nothing to be worried about was just a UTI & gave me a course of antibiotics. Medication did

Should I have the flu jab
I'm 63 and new to this group. I contracted PMR 2 years ago, a few days after having the flu jab. My doctor agrees that the flu jab may have triggered PMR but there is little evidence to confirm this and his advice is to have the jab again this Autumn (I didn't have it last year) as my immune system is

Not my finest...
First cold run, and it reminded me with a bang that I have asthma. Only managed to run for 25 minutes as a full blown attack was threatening and after gasping hopefully at my inhaler I realised that in a moment of stultifying stupidity I'd brought an empty one. Not good. I'm not going to call it a fail

Flu jab early call-September!
I have been contacted already by my GP to get my annual flu jab. I have been called early because I have been shielding. I’m not complaining, just wondered if anyone else has had this conversation yet? Thank you😎

Sweating during the night
During the last few months I'm sweating during the night. I'm waking about 3-4 am with my T-shirt completely wet. I change and after that I'm okay. I have no fever or other pneumonia symptoms. Is this other PD symptom?

Children returning to school?
In September we’re told we must send our 5 year old back to school for year 1. Do you think it’s ok to allow our child to return to school? We all know that if there’s one sure fire way of getting a cold or flu, when our kids return to school. Do we have to return them to school and if you have kids

Herpes
So my roommate has genital herpes , and I accidentally tried a bathing suit on right after her , not remembering that she had it. How likely is it for me to contract the virus ? Any advice would be great

Flu Jab Text
Hubby was sent a text which recommends the flu jab. It has a long link for further reading which looks to me like a twitter link - and as his phone isn't a smart phone (he is BLIND!), what exactly is he supposed to do?

My doctor referred me to a specialist as they ran out of ideas. At the specialist clinic I had a spirometer test (back in september

Urinary Retention 8 months post hysterectomy
Hi. On the 31st of October I had a total hysterectomy with ovarian conservation. Since then I experienced recurrent UTI symptoms. By the time I got to my 7th time my GP referred me to urology. I had a cystoscopy in which debris was found in my bladder. I started medications that just made things worse

Stepped up again
I saw the asthma nurse at my surgery today...apparently I wasn’t supposed to have been seen in person but they’d confused the process and booked me in. Anyhow, I saw her cos my asthma isn’t great at the moment and I’m already on highest doses of my meds& tablets to go with. What was helpful was that
