Scan following Transfer
Hi Guys, I have had a positive test since 6dp5dt on my first fresh IVF/ ICSI transfer, I am currently 6w+2 and had a private scan yesterday because my anxiety is through the roof…(as usual) and a gestational sac and yolk sac was seen but no embryo/ baby/ heartbeat, the tech says its early and to re-scan

Deciding on my next IVF protocol - advice
Hi All! My first IVF ICSI cycle recently failed because my two only embryos didnt make it to the blastocyst stage. They were fine until about day 4 and then they arrested. I will be 42 in about 3 months and have AMH levels about 7. Four egg were retrieved during the egg collection from about 8 size folicules

Covid and the NHS
Late april this year I contracted Covid again (previous time was just before the first lockdown). I slept for 4 days feeling cold and exhausted with lack of appetite I lost a stone in weight in 4 weeks. It did not seem to effect my chest so much this time (I have emphysema) but here I am 6 weeks later

Hit my head falling off my (not moving) bicycle a couple of months ago and have been suffering from severe nausea triggered by lights, high contrast and moving things since then. I'm seeing a physiotherapist specialized in head injury recovery and have exercises to do (which I do) and I know I'm in

laparoscopy
Hi All, So after 5 rounds of IVF, yesterday I managed to get a cancellation for a laparoscopy and dye procedure. Findings - I have adhesions on my uterus, ovaries and liver?! This could limit the blood supply to my follicles, eggs and hinder egg quality etc… I do not have the atypical symptoms for

Shingles vaccination and PCa progression?
Hi everyone, I am planning to get Shingles vaccine, but afraid from the consequences. Gleason score 9 (4+5) Radical Prostatectomy 2017 > BCR 2019 SRT 8 weeks + Firmagon 6 injections (over 6 months). G 9 recurrence is inevitable (as we all know) so I am scared to take the Shingles vaccine. Any one

update on Covid treatments
I received a email today with updated information. This is just in case people don’t receive emails from the nhs. As of 27th June you will no longer be contacted, if you submit a positive test. The onus is on the patient to contact either their gp or specialist to consider if they should receive antivirals

HU and prefibrotic myelofibrosis
Recently diagnosed first with ET. put on 500mg hydroxyurea daily with platelets at 617. After bone marrow aspiration and biopsy, diagnosis changed to prefibrotic myelofibrosis. HU had brought platelets down to 270 but I suffered from bad side effects. Dr didn’t want to change med or dosage. I resisted

pain, cold weather and chicken
Many of us find cold weather increases joint pain especially when outside in the winter months. My 35 year old son who is healthy but permanently broke visits a local supermarket before his 50 minute walk home to his cold flat after work each day. Yesterday they were selling off the hot roasted chickens

I am so upset and don’t know where to go from here…
I went to the doctors with 3 months of pain while going for a pee, I have been on two antibiotics and none have worked. So, I made an appointment with the doctor to speak about what to do to help with the pain and find out why it was happening, or so I thought. I went in and her answer was go on the

Small cell vasculitis and epidermis demostosis
Back in November last year,I got covered in a rash which was awful . Treatment initially was antibiotics and suspect strep infection. And then as it kept reappearing and visits to dermatology put down as vasculitis caused by covid vaccine of which I still don't really buy into. Here we are 8 months

Does anyone else notice that their pd symptoms fade when they are sick with the flu or other similar viruses?
I’ve had pd for a long time and I notice that when I have the flu or a bad cold or upper respiratory viruses that my symptoms fade and I actually feel better. It’s weird. The symptoms come back when I’m well again. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks
