update on Steroid Injection.
Just an update on my last post. As I mentioned I had the X-ray and scan done privately as there is a long wait for scans on NHS. They were both done and the results were sent straight through to the GP. I had Hoped to get the steroid injection within a couple of days again privately. I telephoned the

When to start stims?
Hi everyone! I just wondered if anyone has experience in an ICSI cycle of taking clomiphene from day 2 but not starting stim injections until several days later? I am currently having treatment abroad due to cost and this is the protocol they have put me on, so today on day 6 I only have one follicle

Duration of a first NHS Endocrinologist Appointment
Is a first, initial NHS Endocrinology appointment for hypothyroidism, which appears to be possible central hypo, genetic and suggestive of a pituitary tumour of 30 minutes duration, then thrown out regardless of time required to discuss the problem? G.P. appointments are 10 mins. maximum. Are hospital

ovulation pain post ICSI treatment
Hello, I had a failed ICSI cycle at the end of January. I have been using ovulation tests and found out that I ovulated on the weekend. However, I had really horrible pain on one side that lasted for a day, back ache and felt incredibly hot. I’ve never had this around ovulation before. Has anyone experienced

Internal tremble - frequency and cause
Since having covid in 2020 there are times when I suddenly feel trembly inside. I feel less steady, movement and sensation can be affected slightly. Nobody would notice but I don't feel right. I had successfully reduced to 3mg after a year of taking pred. A week after having the covid jab as I was supposedly vulnerable my PMR symptoms are bad again. Neck ,shoulders and buttock pains as before. Have gone upto 5mg for the past four days on GPs recommendation but no relief . Had blood test

bronchiectasis, asthma and long covid
Hi, I’m about 3 months into my bronchiectasis journey since my diagnosis earlier this year. My 3 month azithromycin trial went well and is now on my repeat prescription list (with it feels like a million other things ) I went for assessment for pulmonary rehab and the physio decided I’m too affected

'Fertility Solutions' DNA testing and consultation - and Andrology solutions personal experience please
Before I have another round of IVF/ICSI I think its important to check out male factor in my husband as we have two failed rounds behind us. I have enquired about Jonathan Ramsey and no appointments for three months. The consultation plus testing is in excess of 1,800. I am looking at fertility solutions

IUI vs. IVF
Hi, Firstly let’s tell you a bit about mine and my OH’s situation. We’ve been TTC for 2 years, I’ve had an internal ultrasound, HyCoSy - all fine and clear. My AMH is normal and I have regular periods. My OH’s results are also all normal apart from low sperm count. so we’ve been told to go for IVF

Methotrexate for the summer
Hi lovely friends, Some of you will recall back in February that I had a flare with rash that my Rheumy, Dr A, didn’t recognise as a Lupus rash. He is still adamant it wasn’t Lupus then but that the progression, which 2 weeks later was confirmed by the Dermatologist as a Lupus rash, was! 🤷🏼♀️

late fertilisation of mature egg
I was told by our embryologist that only 3 of the 6 mature eggs collected were fertilised by ICSI on Sunday however today they’ve advised there are currently 4 embryos as one fertilised later? How can this happen if ICSI was being used and will that embryo have any chance of making it to day 5 for testing

Methylene Blue
Has anyone used or considered Methylene Blue in very low dosages for their Parkinson's? Franciso Gonzalez-Lima of the University of Texas, Austin is an expert on its advantages for treating neurological diseases. Mercola did an interview with him on the subject. Mercola does not promote synthetic drugs

Success stories with embryo donation
Hi everyone, we are about to have a transfer with an embryo donor, just wondering if there are any success stories? We already have a beautiful daughter who is shortly turning 3 from our second ICSI cycle. We have had three miscarriages and completed 6 ICSI cycles. I am also 43 in September so

Severe Cold, to Bronchitis; PMR has not returned
Had gotten a cold that became tenacious, as after 1 week of a head cold it progressed to my chest. A week later I had Bronchitis for the first time in my life and starting with week 3 my GP put me on a Prednisone routine of 40 mg, 30, 20, 10 over a course of 10 days. As if that wasn’t enough, she

mature eggs vs collected
hi, I had my third egg collection today. I’m not sure what I expected. I’m 37 with AMH of 6.5 and follicle count of 11. The consultant mentioned he hoped for 10 or 11 eggs when discussing as we were considering banking. Anyway a lot of tears later (maybe the anaesthetic) but we were updated 12 hours
