Covid Antibodies after 3rd Dose
Hi. Just wanted to share my experience of the antibody tests. I have PV and I am on Hydroxy and Aspirin. I had Pfizer as my covid vaccine (2nd one in April). During the summer I had an antibody test by the GP at my request and it came back with no detectable antibodies. When Blood Cancer Uk advertised

No bleed after failed FTE
Hey ladies. I had my BFN on Thurs 28th, did a second test on Saturday and stopped my medication since but no bleeding yet. Not even spotting or any signs of a period flow. I was on progynova, cyclogest, clexane and aspirin. Is it normal? I’m a bit frustrated now since I can’t plan anything until I’m

A Few Months of Tendon Issues
Good morning to you all! Over the last few months I have managed to damage a calf tendon, achilles heel and a tendon in my right elbow (particularly debilitating). This seemed a little unusual as none of the events occurred due to heavy lifting or exercise. I did an online search - as you do - and found

Bone pain?
Hi, I have ET Jak2, on hydroxy and aspirin. I’ve had intermittent pain down my R leg this weekend and wondering if it could be bone pain or a reaction to my Pfizer vaccine (3rd) that I had on Fri. What does bone pain feel like and which parts of our body do we get it if it’s MPN related? Or has anyone

Aspirin IVF when to stop
Hi there. My FET done end of August and now I'm nearly 3 months pregnant but my doctor said I should continue using aspirin till 20weeks. Why??? My first successful pregnancy back in 2017 and my doctor (in different clinic) told me to stop at 10 weeks which I did. Why this time is different?

What are your thoughts about Interferon Vs. Hydroxurea?
I’ve been reading different studies about this and most of them says Interferon is advisable for younger patients and for pregnancy but current practice is using Hydrea as a first line of defense instead of Interferon? I would love to hear your experience about this. I’m still on a low-dose aspirin

Should I take Hydrea for 7 days?
I was diagnosed with ET in 2003, took Hydrea for 3 months and was able to go without any medication since then other then a baby aspirin a day. I took a blood test 4 days ago and all seems fine and doc ordered another blood work in 6 months. However, I went to ER today for high bp and they took another

Cardiac MRI Finds Thrombus
As a concerned wife, I feel like offloading recent developments following my 73 year old husband Tom’s heart attack. He had a hugely unexpected major attack (widowmaker) last February necessitating urgent care, four stents and a lifetime’s stash of pills. The NHS were brilliant and we have since

Hello
Hello. Recently diagnosed with ET. Platelets around 700 during routine blood work. Referred to hematologist. Tested JAK2 positive. Put on hydroxyurea, 1000mg per day, and aspirin. Only 3 weeks into this so still wrapping my head around it. I had no symptoms....feels like all this came out of left

3rd Covid Vaccine - Scotland
Hi All, I live in Scotland and, last year, was told explicitly by haematology department that I wasn't any more vulnerable to Covid than people without an MPN (I have PV). This is around the time we were being advised that we should be in group 4 for vaccine. Currently, on venesections and aspirin

Ongoing knee pain
I just have a question: I was diagnosed with PV 3-19 treating with baby aspirin and phlebotomy only. I also have osteoarthritis in knees. I had a knee replacement done 3-19 with continued swelling and now becoming increasing painful. Both swelling (from before) and pain come only after being on feet
