Hi ladies, We have had a chemical pregnancy in October and when I was young I had a miscarage and an undeveloped pregnancy as well. I remember my doctor back then telling me that I have an issue with blood clots, early miscarage etc. So anyway my doctor now confirmed that I do have this issue and

Recurrent miscarriage tests - All normal! When did NHS offer a hysteroscopy?
I just received an email from the Doctor saying my results are all normal and to go next week for an appointment to discuss my first FET. I don’t know how to take this news. I feel like the problem is still there, just has not been found! I had two miscarriages, one natural and one from my first IVF

When did you start baby aspirin or Eparin injections?
I am waiting to hear from the hospital about the blood tests for recurrent miscarriage, most are anticoagulant blood tests. I have to do frozen transfer in December, when do you usually start taking blood thinners medication before transfer? I am assuming I have to start very soon if needed?

1 year since my Widowmaker update
Hi all, Yesterday I had my final check in with the Cardiology doctors and I’m in great health, my heart is strong, I feel strong and I’m now only taking aspirin and atorvastatin. A far cry from walking into A&E on 16/11/20 and suffering a STEMI which stopped my heart for 90 seconds. I was lucky that

Feeling a Bit Frightened and Anxious...
...and it's not even me. Tom, my husband of 50 years, is hitting a wobbly patch so I feel like sharing or offloading - so thanks for listening. His 'widow maker' heart attack was in February and the brilliant emergency services had him whisked away and stented (4) all within a few hours, home again

Ectopic beats
My heart often has runs of bigeminy, with no clear cause. I have ET Jak+ve, with platelets usually around 1200. Another condition (neurofibromatosis) makes medicating me tricky so I just take Aspirin. Does anyone else have experience of this? I

Pregnancy/delivery (in particular c sections) and blood thinners
Hi ladies, I'm currently 23 weeks pregnant and so far so good. I have APS and FVL so I'm on 2 dalteparin 5000 injections and a mini aspirin a day. I am looking to hear your experiences of childbirth on blood thinners, specifically women who have had c sections. Were epidurals or spinal taps a problem

Statin reaction
This may seem petty and unimportant but two years ago I had a stent fitted as I had a blockage in my LAD . Every morning I take 75m aspirin and 40g Atorvastatin. I usually take these after breakfast about 9.00 the an hour and a half later I feel spaced out. At night I take ramipril and

Castle Walt Disney designed the castle he built at Disney Land. This castle welcomes you to the outskirts of the diamond village of Toledo.
My name is Anna, I was officially diagnosed by BMB of a Myeloproliferative Neoplasm, Essential Thrombocytosis in December 2011. I have been aware of the condition due to the consistently high platelets counts since I got a DVT while travelling in 1999. I have also been informed over the years and

So we had Covid19!
Dear all, I thought I share our experience of Covid19 and update you on how we managed it. Please note, the cases are increasing and people with long term conditions can never be too careful. I tested positive about three weeks ago after a slight pain on my upper back (right lung) and felt extremely

Aspirin
When I was having my booster vaccine I mentioned to the GP (the head of the practice who is very well thought of) that I was not taking an anticoagulant. He said that I should do, but if I was not willing to I should take an aspirin every day. I thought that studies in Europe showed that this

Non STEMI
I am new here, I had a non STEMI 2 months ago and was prescribed the most common medications, I.e. Ticegralor, Bisoprolol, Artovastatin and Aspirin. I was fortunate that the angiogram and subsequent ultrasound indicated there was no apparent damage to the heart muscle and I have recovered fully. No

Angiogram & Angioplasty
Hi 6 months ago I was sent for a CT angiography after getting shortness of breath and pain in my left arm walking up a hill. The scan showed a narrowing in my LAD artery and I was put on asprin & 80mg statins. I have had no further angina symptoms for six months but I have been scheduled to have an angiogram

Covid Antibodies after 3rd Dose
Hi. Just wanted to share my experience of the antibody tests. I have PV and I am on Hydroxy and Aspirin. I had Pfizer as my covid vaccine (2nd one in April). During the summer I had an antibody test by the GP at my request and it came back with no detectable antibodies. When Blood Cancer Uk advertised
