Me again 🥴. So here I am awake all hours because I am coming off my propranolol which I use for anxiety.

What’s your best tips or advice to prepare for this fet cycle? Due AF next week so anything I should try now till transfer?

Things I am already doing ~

Vitamins- folic acid & vitD (going to add vit c)

Already on aspirin due to previous portal vein thrombosis.

Am really trying to take it in my stride but also a little nervous it’s our last embryo 😩

Any rate acupuncture before transfer? Or any other treatment?

TIA for any tips & advice your all fabulous 💕

Hi Fudge1980 You seem to have covered all the bases so be kind yourself Try to relax - acupuncture would be a good idea Also have you seen the following post about mindfulness for fertility - it might be worthwhile to register for it tonight

Hoping all goes well with your fet cycle

Hi fudge, this isn’t treatment related but for my last FET I made myself an advent calendar of treats to open each day of the 2ww… (my friend’s suggestion to make it a bit more palatable). It really helped! Every day I had something to look forward to that was unrelated to ivf and it just took the edge off a bit.

Highly recommend!! Xx

Oh that’s a lovely idea! Am trying to plan different things to do but I am also happy relaxing with a good series xx

Hi. Find things to distract yourself ( not google!) . Walks and podcasts or try crafts eg knitting. I did adult colouring books as well! Good luck x

I drink raspberry leaf tea to help my lining thicken up (perhaps start around cycle day 8) and it seems to help (although it's hard to know for sure). The only thing to remember is stop drinking it at least a few days before transfer, as I think it's not good for implantation/pregnancy itself, just for building the lining.

I also try and do gentle walking each day to keep good circulation and blood supply to the uterus.

Very good luck hun 😊

Hey Fudge, is there any other anxiety medication you can take instead rather than going cold turkey? I did the same for a transfer last November, stopped my anxiety medication (for OCD) and I was up at 3am deep cleaning the shower, checking taps and freezer doors at 5am, just so stressed that I didn't even want the transfer to work at that point I was so over it. My consultant recommended I took "safer" anxiety medication, which I did, and I coped much better during it all. Hope everything goes ok whatever u decide to do 😘😘😘 xxx

It’s awful isn’ it I sympathise fully. I’ve dropped the dose for now and spoke to the doctor she’s ok with me taking a low dose for now and if my fet works we will discuss it again. I know if I don’t take anything my anxiety will rule and I will end up ill 😩 thank you lovely 💕xx

Hi there, I have taken all the supplements suggested in "It starts with the Egg" especially Ubiquinol, vit D, prenatal with 800mcg folate, DHEA, Melatonin close to transfer, Vit C. I did acupuncture throughout and it did help get the eggs to a good size, then get the the lining thick for transfer and just for overall relaxation.I saw a tangible difference with the acupuncture in egg collection and lining thickening.

I also took Ubiquinol, Vit E and L Arginine before transfer.

Good luck with it all x

Thanks for that lovely! I’ve just been looking into melatonin because I really struggle with sleep. I take it it’s safe to use whist going through a cycle? Do you remember what mg you took?xx

In the book it specifies to take 3mg for a month before the egg collection and stop the day before the egg collection.
