no stent-tortuos artery
Hi all who replied. I did have angiogram, apparently the LAD is 65-70%, then another part 74%, BUT it is what they call a tortuous artery, really curved and twisted, looked like a country lane on the angio, with corners! So apparently difficult to stent and made the decision not to and treat with meds

Which medicine is messing with my thyroid med uptake
Might anyone be able to suggest which of my other meds has affected my thyroid med uptake (100mcg thyroxine and 2x5mcg t3)? I was prescribed digoxin, furosemide and bisoprolol after having open heart surgery 3 mths ago to resolve some anatomical defects. Uptil that point thyroid levels were stable

Why are my platelets normal now with ET?
I just had my routine 4 month bloodwork and my platelets are normal at 399. They were also normal in March at 396. I haven’t had normal platelets in about 10 years or more. I have only been on aspirin. Was only just diagnosed by BMB with ET last July. Why would my platelet count all of a sudden be normal

Yet another issue
In July last year I had a heart attack caused by spontaneous coronary artery dissection. That came as a shock in itself. Four months later the cardiologist I was referred to in Leicester told me the angiogram I had on the day of the heart attack also shows two areas of atherosclerosis which he said

IVF - After a Miscarriage
Hi All I’ve had SLE since 2014, and I had a miscarriage in my first trimester in Jan 24. Since, I’ve been referred for IVF and in parallel I am trying to get a referral to a Lupus In Pregnancy clinic so both the fertility and lupus clinic that specialises in pregnancy can help build a plan for me.

APS and Panic Attacks
Hi, I have been living with the diagnosis of APS since 2017 after a mini-stroke in my left eye, which fortunately left no damage. Recently, I switched from aspirin to warfarin after possibly experiencing another mini-stroke, though this hasn't been confirmed by tests. Sometimes, I feel dizzy, short

How many donor egg transfers before success?
I’ve been trying for a sibling for over a year now and made the move to double donor this year. I’m now having my second chemical from two good quality donor embryos, from egg donors in their early 20s. I’m feeling very disheartened and just wondering if anyone has success after more than two transfers

E.T. Symptoms
I’m JAK2 positive and have been diagnosed with E.T. a few weeks ago. I’m on hydroxycarbamide plus aspirin and am 74 and, apart from this, am reasonably fit. It’s very early days with the medication as I’m only three weeks in but already have noticed an improvement in terms of feeling more normal and

waiting for an MRI
Hi. I am new here so not 100% sure how this works. I’m just getting anxious at the moment and wondered if this was normal to feel like this. It came to light at the end of January that I had a slight heart attack. I thought it was a panic attack but have been told that it has slightly damaged my heart
