Being taking off Pegasys. :( Looking for alternatives
Hi all, I have ET & PV with Jak2. I am 40. I have been on aspirin for over 10 years, but had to start Pegasys 3 months ago. I haven't tolerated it well. Severe shortness of breath etc. My hematologist reduced my dose to 30 per week, but I am suffering with hypertension (150 to 69/96 on average) and

Strange interaction with Private Health System..?
I had an ecg which my gp flagged up as indicating some problem with my heart. They even sent a paramedic to my home to check I was ok. I feel ok, sometimes a but breathless, occasionally dizzy, but better now I am taking statins and aspirin.Anyway, I made an appt with NHS cardiology. Earliest was next

Hi,Having waited 9 weeks for the results of a cardio CT scan due to suspected angina, they have now confirmed there is no furring of the arteries or blockages. They have written to say I should stop the aspirin and beta blockers but remain on the statins. However, I am still left with a racing heart

upset stomach diarrhoea for a month?
I’ve had diarrhoea with stomach cramps for over a month now. Doctor has put me on Fodmap diet which has no gluten, wheat or dairy. I’ve done the diet for over a week now and I’ve got to be on it for 6 weeks. I’ve stuck to it. He gave me anti biotics at the beginning to rule out diviticulitis. It happens

Confusion about MPN. Please help
I posted this on Reddit and a kind user referred me to this forum, so here I am… I’m 36 and have had chronically high platelets since my early 20’s (typically around 525k). To my knowledge, I don’t think my platelets have ever been normal. My PCP has never expressed any concerns, as my other bloodwork

newly diagnosed queries
Hi, recently diagnosed with ET, to say I was shocked is an understatement, as platelets elevated slightly 460 & JAK2 positive results was a surprise to everyone, only med is low dose aspirin. Was wondering if anyone had notice the following symptoms of sometimes difficult in swallowing & breathlessness

Aspirin trials
I have recently finished hormone therapy, last 3 monthly injection April 2023. Good result so far with PSA at <0.01. Met with my Oncologist today and he said there were trials using aspirin as a potential drug to reduce potential recurrence. Has anyone come across this and, even though the results

stopping bisopromol
Hi All, hope you are keeping well. In the last 18 months I’ve paid privately to see the consultant who put the stent inside of me. It started with paying for an echo cardio gram and also a fitness test because I put it down to the meds I was on, but that general feeling of dog****. Fatigued.

Red Eye Update
Hi,I posted a few days ago about keep having a bloodshot eye. Now on 4th since the beginning of the month!! Or maybe they never actually completely go in the first place, only disappear from the visible part of my eye? I went to the MEC clinic at Specsavers and after various tests and examining my eyes

Hello, I was diagnosed with ET and JAK2+ last week. Have started aspirin and given information re Hydroxy. I’m not sure whether I want to start Hydroxy as I have no risks, apart from high cholesterol which Haematologist did mention. Just wondering if anyone has delayed starting Hydroxy. My Platelet

Just a little rant
One thing I have learned since being diagnosed with Osteo is that this medical condition is a money maker for big pharma. I would encourage everyone to look up publication on actual studies done around the world with men and women with osteo and what they were given naturally along with calcium supplementation
