Simvastatin-induced erythromelalgia: less is more
This forum, Thyroid UK, is particularly aware of statins and their contra-indications. Furthermore, the whole cholesterol orthodoxy is questioned regularly. This case report is (rightly) explicitly critical of the handling of the woman and her diagnosis of erythromelalgia - rather, failure to diagnose

Recent "research"
I read about a recent study that tries to blame vitamins for the presence of CVD, yes it is another observational study. It does not look at what conventional medicines people are on, and in my opinion is utter tosh. People who take vitamins are normally people who are conscious of their general state

Cholesterol
Following blood tests my GP has advised that I start statins. However, I have reviewed my diet and reduced the consumption of a number of fatty foods (50%). So I plan to not start the statins until I have another blood test. How long should I leave it before requesting another blood test?

Anyone have real data re: true risk of heart attack as a result of ADT....All my life I have had high cholesterol....diet makes little difference...refused Statins. Question about yeast/candida on skin
Hi, ladies! :) I’ve been dealing with a bad flare-up of candida (yeast) on the skin ever since summer hit. This Midwest heat is too much for my curves! 😩😂 So a little info: I’m plus-size. Nothing out of control, but definitely overweight. I sweat easily. I’ve dealt with this before under the abdomen
