Statins and PAF meds ... should I worry?
Hi, Wife has just had her annual blood test from GP which shows her cholesterol level as 5.4 mmol/L. This has been flagged as borderline and GP has recommended she goes on statins. She suffers from PAF, but has had no noticeable events since last August when they upped her Bisoprolol following a stay

Painful joints
Hi all, I’m looking for some advice (before waiting a month to see my Gp lol). I’ve been taking Atorvastatin 20mg for 13 months and have suddenly started with pain in some of my joints. According to various websites I’ve Googled, any pain should happen when commencing starting with statins and peter

Which is the best hospital in the West Midlands? Urgent!
I live close to Birmingham. I am "supposed" to be being treated in Russels Hall Hospital, Dudley. I was diagnosed last September with angina and have had a few tests. I'm on the basic drugs, beta blockers, low dose aspirin and statins. I am constantly tired and strugle at work (desk job thankfully).

Waiting forever after complications with an Angiogram
Hi all, New here. Had a heart attack in early July last year and had no idea that I had suffered one - no chest pain, just dizziness, nausea and pain in my arms and back more akin to muscle aches after exercise (I also thought I had some sort of gastric reflux and swigged a load of Gavescon). Anyway,

Results of A Modified COC Protocol
First, some background history. I was diagnosed in January 2016 with Gleason 9 and metastatic PCa. I have undergone ADT, chemotherapy and SBRT to the prostate and have augmented the standard of care with a regimen that appears to have suppressed my PSA until mid 2019 when it started to rise. The nadir

Statins: Researchers uncover how cholesterol-lowering drugs cause muscle pain.
Patients who take statins in order to lower their blood cholesterol levels often complain about muscle problems, typically muscle pain. But why this occurs is still largely unresolved. In a recent study, the pharmaceutical scientists Professor Alexandra K. Kiemer und Jessica Hoppstädter from Saarland
