I'm not sure if I've gone back to activities too soon. I went back to work 2 wks after. Has this happened to anyone else. I

Fear of oral thrush
I've had health anxiety for 40 years_seemed to have a good hold on it the past few years but now I have oral thrush for the first time ever and I'm so worried as to what caused it-I wake up in the middle of the night in a panic worried I have some disease like diabetes or something-too scared to even

Pain in Gums above front tooth.
Hi, I have a slight pain above one of my front teeth - it's making the whole of my right side feel slightly numb. The pain isn't uncomfortable just noticeable but I am very worried. I have always been told off for brushing my teeth too hard and I have been trying to use my electric toothbrush more regularly

Pain in gums
I am having pain the upper left teeth in the back. Whenever I eat something, the pain worsens. The gums above the teeth are hurting a lot. The lower left teeth also hurt. Sometimes when I brush my teeth, my lower left gum starts bleeding.

Should my sore throat have lasted this long?
Hi I have tonsillitis at the moment, and most of my symptoms are gone after 3 days, but my throat is still very sore. It's very hard to swallow, and a little bit hard to talk. I'm very blocked up aswell and have a lot of phlegm. Shouldn't the sore throats have been gone by now??? I'm scared it's taking

Bisphosphonate research
Just heard on BBC news that new research justifies some scepticism on the efficacy of bisphosphonates in combating bone decay. Also casts some doubt on the reliability of dexascans for accurate monitoring. Research (from Harwell) was largely focused on osteoporotic patients but should be of interest

Psyllium - anyone tried it?
In search of an easy fix, I looked up Psyllium husk. Looks promising, as it is mostly dietary fibre and it fills you up and is very low in calories. Before I spend between £5- £8 for 500 grams I wondered if anyone has tried it and if it helped or was a waste of money.

Post chemo side effects?
Hi, I had my last , of 6, chemo's 3 weeks ago and the last couple of days my mouth has become really sore plus there are about 4 mouth ulcers. In the mornings my mouth is very dry with the impression of my teeth on my tongue. It looks like dehydration but I drink about 2 litres a day. Has anyone had

Dental treatment
I am sure I have read on here,, if you are having any dental treatment, ask for a different injunction, which is safer for people with A.F. Can anyone enlighten me please.

Post FND conference... a bit more.
To all my community friends. Good morning. In spite of adverse health at moment, I am unable to rest. I have so many technical flaws to report from the little that I heard from the "experts" last Friday, that I am flooded with rebuttals to make, but have no capability to put on paper as I write this.

IBS-C and leaky gut
Hello, I'm new here so apologies if thread already exists on this.. I have had IBS C/D since I had intussusception when I was 1, but I'm currently struggling with improving my mood surrounding the condition. I've had a stool analysis which says I have high inflammation as well as dysbiosis in the gut

Clinical trials: post transpant management of anti-rejection medications
I have been invited to take part in a clinical trial to reduce (completely?) anti-rejection meds. I am currently on .5 mg Prograf x 2 and 500mg MMF x 1 which I realise is quite low. Is there anyone out there who has dropped these entirely? If so, could you share experiences, either here or via message

GRF Level
I was on the Davita.com site and punched in my creatinine level of 1.0 and it gave me a GFR of 66, but yet by blood work shows 59. How can it be that different, does anyone know? Thanks

Chronic kidney disease & haven't been told
Hello all I had my recent clinic appointment and it hasn't been great. I had an ultrasound which showed coarse echo texture and slight irregular liver transplant. Also they've found a small lesion. I will be having a CT scan in April I think. What surprised me is that the letter they sent to GP had '

Dental treatment with PAF and on Rivaroxaban?
Hi everyone, I added my new medical details (PAF & Rivarixaban) to my dental records and now my dental surgery has said I can't have my regular hygienist appt and dental check up until they have written confirmation that my condition and meds don't require any special precautions.
