You can use paracetamol to control pain and fever

Please visit your Dr or local walk in centre ASAP. If you have a temperature I would even go to A&E. temperatures in pregnancy are not good.

If you do not have a temperature you should visit a Dr, who can be give you antibiotics which are safe to take during pregnancy.

I had a high temperature and the shakes yesterday but not today, I get waves of hotness but I think that's due to pregnancy?

If so call nhs on 111 and tell them you are nearly 11 weeks pregnant, have had a high temperature with shaking and think you have tonsillitis. They will probably get a dr to talk to you on the phone, who will advise you of your next steps.

Whenever you feel unwell in pregnancy, your GP should be more than happy to see you. Don't worry about being a pest - they are there to look after you and your baby.

Hope you get well soon and all is well xx

I have literally just got over tonsillitis myself and I felt horrendous. I am 13 weeks pregnant now. I just kept up with salt water, drank loads of water and took paracetamol when I really had to. It will get better! I didn't have a fever though, just how flushes. I agree you should see a gp if you get a fever.

Oh no what a nightmare. Go to your Gp. There are antibiotics that are safe to take during pregnancy if you need them as quite often they become infected. You have to tell the gp first though. I was given some at the start of one of my pregnancies for a urine infection. Hope you get better soon x
