I received my third Pfizer vaccination shot on 8-16-21. I confirmed my antibodies in September with the Labcorp test, 164090. My score was 388. Not the highest but antibodies were present . I got sick 11-1-21, tested positive 11-2. I received an antibody infusion on 11-3. I started to feel better about 36 hours later on 11-4. My chest congestion is gone and I am feeling much better today, 11-6. The Eli Lilly antibody infusion really worked for me! Glad when this is all behind me.
Covid-19 positive: I received my third Pfizer... - CLL Support
Covid-19 positive
Glad you are recovering quickly. Was it easy to get the infusion
Good job on getting the infusion done early!
Glad you are feeling better. What were steps you took to get monoclonal anti body treatment.
Glad to hear of your recovery.
Great news Duke not sure they will be that quick in the UK with the similar infusions we have for covid , let's hope so , All the best DukeStewie
According to my cancer care nurse, you don't get the infusion until you are hospitalised and retested there. What happened to the ' you must get it in first 5 days' recommendation I've read on this forum. Bit of a worry that in UK you only get it when it's life threatening. 🤔
I am in Durham, North Carolina. I am 69YOA, I have CLL. The second day I was sick I took the Abbott Labs rapid COVID test. It was positive. I texted my primary care doctor almost immediately. They contacted the infusion center, which telephoned me. I went in the next morning, day three, and got my infusion.
I did get preferential treatment because I have CLL.
I am much better today, Sunday and I sat outside for about an hour.
Wow, glad you are feeling better.
Hello... from Portugal, can someone explain to me what's that Eli Lilly? Never heard about it and I'm a bit curious! I'm a CLL patient and always scared about catching Covid.... thanks if anyone helps!
Eli Lilly is a large old pharmaceutical company. They made the monoclonal antibodies that are useful in treating Covid. Especially for patients that are immunology-compromised . If you have CLL you may not have developed antibodies to the Covid virus after getting your vaccine shots. If you get sick you may be able to get an infusion of antibodies to fight the virus. I got than and they worked well for me.
