My lab results
Here are my results. This is a followup to my earlier post: Thank you to all of you who responded. I have a followup with my ENT, who wants me to bring in the CD from the MRI. My last blood work was mid June. T4 was 9.2 and TSH was 2.030. Those were the only thyroid tests they did, I don't see a T3

high cholesterol
Hi I am new here. I have just discovered that my cholesterol is high. It's 7.37....... I know it's bad. We have a machine that tests it and never thought it was going to be that bad. I spoke to the onsite doctor and was told to get my sorry backside to the gp and get my self sorted. I am ringing first

Enlarged Spleen
I have an enlarged spleen since I was told last year. Went through Chemo for Ovarian cancer and finished treatment back in May. When I went through Chemo I was given carboplatin which gave me a dragging sensation below the ribs. Now I am thinking it could be the spleen. It comes and goes and is affected

7 Hypertension meds - Ughhh
I have written on here before. I have had high BP for many years. Some years have been better than others. Over the last 2.5 years since moving to Colorado my BP has been the worst it has been. The worst has been 230/150. Last year I was in ER 3 times and in the hospital for week. It is definitely

HIFU for Stage 2?
I saw where HIFU is being promoted by Cleveland Clinic Canada. It is only just being made available (at very few facilities) in the US. I am in the queue to get IMRT external beam radiation as my TURP'd prostate not considered a candidate for surgery. I'd have to reach into my own pocket to go with HIFU

Blood pressure (back of eyes test) kidney related issues
Have anyone ever had a test done to check the back of the eyes to check vessels due to high blood pressure? If so please can you tell me of your own experience. thank you. As long term high blood pressure can do damage to kidneys, my neph said that to see how the blood pressure is doing overall - by

Help
does throwing up before a fasting blood test alter the result? I ask this because this happened to me and the results came back saying I had high cholesterol. My doctor thought had me redo the test today but before the phlebotomist started she opened up my last results and it showed my cholesterol levels

Simvastatin Hell
Hi, In February 2011 I had a heart attack and was prescribed 40mg of Simvastatin. Within weeks I began to have pain in my arm muscles. I started researching, read of the many people suffering side effects, went to see my doctor and stopped them. She did not, oddly enough, try to persuade me against
