Like many thinks the world has different units of measurements. In UK the unit of measurements for cholesterol is different and there is a conversation calculator on the Internet to convertor UK numbers from the measurement given.
Do you understand UK cholesterol numbers?
In UK VLFDL is not measured or calculated!
An example ( total cholesterol , 242 mg/dl = 6.25812 mmol/l)
here is a inverter link onlineconversion.com/choles...

Thank you for that.
This is also worth a read healthinsightuk.org/2015/07... remember that limits over the years have been lowered so what was normal 10 or 20 years ago is "high" now
Below is from Internet check and calculation. I do not look at these numbers as these numbers has been coming down over the years.
Your Total Cholesterol of 248 is HIGH RISK
Your LDL of 145 is BORDERLINE
Your HDL of 72 is OPTIMAL
Your Triglyceride level of 155 is BORDERLINE
What ever the units, look at the ratio:
RATIOS:
Your Total Cholesterol/HDL ratio is: 3.44 - (preferably under 5.0, ideally under 3.5) IDEAL
Your HDL/LDL ratio is: 0.497 - (preferably over 0.3, ideally over 0.4) IDEAL
Your triglycerides/HDL ratio is: 2.153 - (preferably under 4, ideally under 2) NORMAL
