Hey guys, anyone have any tips/advice for nutrition post-transplant? I was on dialysis for 2 years and had a very restricted diet. Is there any foods or nutrients that are important after a transplant? I am vegan 70 percent of the time and don't eat red meat.. should I take B12? Any one take supplements

Understanding Test Result numbers
I recently had a telemedicine call from my kidney doc about my recent labs. I asked him to please send me a copy of the labs. I am looking at some of the numbers and have a few questions. (My doc seemed really anxious to get off the phone and get to the next patient, so didn't seem to have time for many

Is Nepro High Protein safe to take for a 76 year-old that recently started dialysis?
My dad just started dialysis. Is Nepro High Protein a safe and good supplement to take? How about Low Protein? Our city went on lockdown and we can't even contact our nephrologist. He was also treated for gout and contracted pneumonia a few days after leaving the hospital, so got hospitalized again for

What a Blessing You Can Be
I am a PD patient in the Midwest and new to the new community. We buried my Father In-Law yesterday. The funeral home had been given a directive from the state to limit the number of attendees. Thankfully, I was able to be there with my wife, my primary caregiver. She needed me for a change. Bless her

Getting a letter?
Am I receiving a letter or not, according to the government guidelines I am, unfortunately the scottish government don't detail it enough so I'm unsure. Having SLE, on steroids, had rituximab in the last 6 months, have CKD and been on dialysis for the last 3 months too so I should qualify but really

Can we switch to Hospice Care after dialysis has been started?
Hi, My father is 81 years old and had a renal failure. We started dialysis but his health has become quite fragile. From the last 10-12 dialysis, we have to rush to the hospital due to infection or chills, high fever, shortness of breath, etc, admit him for 1 or 2 night and somehow bring him back after

Discontinuing Provenge in lieu of Covid 19; 2 out of 3 treatments.. still effective?
My dad and I were set to go to Cleveland today for his final Provenge treatment. However he received a call last night from Dendreon (the lab that makes Provenge) that his cells did not meet quality standards and would not be shipped. I called his oncologist in Cleveland and she was very emphatic that

VELTASSA The Only Option?
My husband has 3rd Stage Kidney Disease. His nephrologist said there was a way to assure he'd never need dialysis. First he needed to drink a substance called Veltassa. He can't tolerate it. Are there options?

RA Nice Guidelines re Covid 19
Hi. Sorry I can’t put a link on. I’m not that technical. But on the Guardians news website it says NICE will be issuing guidelines soon re RA and Covid 19. They’ve already done it for cancer patients and those on kidney dialysis. Sorry no further information in the article

Incremental dialysis?
I'll be starting nocturnal dialysis soon. However, I found a medical article which talks about "incremental dialysis". The idea is that dialysis is phased in gradually rather than immediately going three times a week. I'll put a link to the article below, but an wondering if anyone is familiar with this

Patient-Driven Innovation for PD Home Therapy
Greetings all. I am a PD patient. I had started out with a CVC when I first learned of my kidney failure requiring dialysis. As a PD patient, I find the process to be quite archaic and would like to lead the charge in patient-driven innovation for PD Home Therapy. Most all of us know by now what the
