Patient-Driven Innovation for PD Home Therapy

Greetings all. I am a PD patient. I had started out with a CVC when I first learned of my kidney failure requiring dialysis.

As a PD patient, I find the process to be quite archaic and would like to lead the charge in patient-driven innovation for PD Home Therapy. Most all of us know by now what the Deputy Director of HHS said about dialysis. More innovation is needed because patients deserve better.

I can drop out of this community for the sake of others who suffer if I am becoming too commercialized. I understand and apologize. I didn't place myself here, God did. I am only throwing rocks at giants!

Looking forward to where this takes me.

Okay. I don't know if this will open up a can of worms of not but something else that has occurred to me in managing my PD treatment options; since I am required to stay home due to the coronavirus, what if I had the ability to adjust my nightly treatment cycles by doing a few manuals during the day? This is a question that I intend to ask my Nephrologist.

Here's why I ask. I cycle 17,000 ml per night for 10.5 hours plus do a manual midday drain. Its not as if I need time off of my cycler to do other things per se, at this time, but it seems as if I should be able to choose to make such a choice.
