Has anyone done the proton therapy?
Just curious if anyone had their MO suggest doing the proton therapy? When I have my discussion with my new MO, I want to ask if proton therapy would be a fit for myself. I have to deal with the prostate cancer and the met pelvic lymph nodes as well as the met bone issue.

KNEE SURGERY
Hello all, just had a call from my Hospital informing me that my total knee replacement surgery is in 2 WEEKSAs I have Lymphoedema in both legs - left leg is worse. Surgery is on right knee. I have been told the leg will be tightly dressed from ankle to groin to try and avoid me having an ulcerated leg

HRT / zolodex / hormone treatment help
Hi all. I posted recently about my concerns regarding zolodex etc. I think my only next steps is a complete hysterectomy due to my issues. HOWEVER. That being said, everyone seems to manage better withHRT and I'm looking to speak with people who have never been able to tolerate any form of hormone treatment

Flare after TKR update
Just an update - I have taken ibuprofen regularly but no improvement and today I feel incredibly fatigued. I have therefore increased from 6.5mg to 10mg and will stay at this level for at least a week provided it solves the problem. Strangely it seems that everything but the knee hurts! Recovery

Total knee replacement?
I have RA, diagnosed at Christmas 2020. I also have buggered knees - I believe that is the correct medical term - that pre-date the RA diagnosis. At my last (final?) RA consultation the consultant showed me a beautiful X-ray of my knees. Nice bones, absent cartilage. He had previously mentioned knee

Test results - I think I might have iron deficiency to add into the mix........
Hi everyone, I've updated my story and where I am. Still struggling to move forward with severe fatigue episodes. Was put on low dose steroids for suspected adrenal insufficiency a couple of months back. I thought at first they were helping, now I am not so sure. Am struggling really to know whether

Could ovarian cancer and high TIBC (Total Iron Binding Capacity) be linked?
I was just looking back on my medical records and both last year and in 2022 and my TIBC was high both times but my iron was normal. The doctor said she didn't see any anemia, but it is odd that the TIBC was high since high TIBC means low levels of iron....yet iron was normal. All these things I'm looking

Prostrap & dry eye
Hello, I’m on month 5 of prostrap with tibolone whilst I await excision surgery for endometriosis. I’m experiencing the worst dry eye / blepharis. In having to cleanse my eyelids, hot flannel massage, eye rinse, and drops and then eyelid cream multiple times a day and it’s really getting me down.

Looking for TKR advice
Hello everyone. I’m a 55 year old male who has had knee problems for the majority of my life. I think it originated from sports injuries as a schoolboy but I remember twisting it while at work when I was about 17 too. I have a long history of having treatment for knee problems including 2 or 3 arthroscopy

Confused
I had my first appointment with an endo specialist today. I think I'm still in shock at the whole situation to be honest and am trying to sort things out in my head. I've just turned 40 and there's no history of endo in my family. I've been diagnosed with endo and adenomyosis. The endo is between

Higgyandpiggy
Hi, I have had a TKR to both in the last 2 years. A friend lent me a cuff called a Cryocuff which compresses and cools the knee. It really helped. They are expensive to buy but they canbe hired. I was given crutches with special handles, designed for arthritic hands and they helped too. Everything

Total knee replacement
19 days post op - been very tough especially when COVID thrown into the mix! My muscle tone wasn’t great pre-op but is now nonexistent. Is it possible to build muscle tone with PMR? Without PMR it’s possible to build good muscle tone with regular exercises but no matter how frequently I do my post op
