Hi All, thank you for the add- I am new here. I have ademomyosis, fibroids and also possibly endometriosis. I am listed for a total hysterectomy but start (thursday!) prostrap injections to see how I would cope with no ovaries (with add back HRT) and to check the effect on my terrible ovulation symptoms. I was wondering if any of you can give me any insight in to your experience of propstrap please? Timing isn't great (don't want to throw everyone's christmas dinner on the floor in a rage!), but I'm in too much pain to postpone it - have to put my own health first now I think. I'm 48 and perimenopausal but still have terrible, clotting periods, awful ovulation pain, bloating etc.
The HRT patches i have been give to start on thursday are evorel conti.
I would welcome any of your personal experiences, thanks in advance.

Hi, I was given prostap in April , I was really against it but got to a point it wasn’t down to me anymore . I was petrified of it but I can honestly swear within 11 days I felt amazing not completely out of pain but enough to walk and move without wincing, I felt so calm and chilled to the point I thought god don’t take me of it aha . I had a total hysterectomy in June that’s been more tricky hasn’t come without it’s issues I’m not allowed HRT at all .. The pro strap though wasn’t as scary as I thought and I had to have that as well without hrt . I used multi vitamins and hair products that protect from hair loss , but to be honest I didn’t see any loss no more than usual . I know not everyone reacts the same but I had very positive outcome with it . Hope this eases your mind a little .
Hi I'm on prostrap injections, and I've had no issues at all, they did prescribe tibolone but I haven't needed it. I have started on vitamin d as this was recommended, best thing I ever did as my bleeding was horrendous x
Hi 👋 good luck with your first injection, my first two weeks were like a nightmare, worst pain I have ever had and I thought I was loosing my mind, but I am now paid free for the first time in about 10 years and can't believe the difference it's made to me! So my advice is just sick with it, it will hopefully be worth it! I am having menopausal side effects now, but hopefully the tibolone will get rid of that shortly after 🤞 but this is still a million times better than the pain, so in my book worth it!
