Can an increase in thyroxine cause an upset tummy?
I was on 100mc of thyroxine for years. My GP decided to decrease my dose to 75 without any tests or discussion. When I left a message for her to tell her I felt less well on the lower dose she said to alternate 75 and 100 for three months, then get a blood test. Results showed my dose had to go back

3 am protocol for T3, please tell me about it?
Please could you tell me what I need to know about the 3 am protocol for T3? Does there need to be a gradual transition from split dosing? Anything else I should know? I have been on T3 only for some years and recently have been very tired and depressed, for me the usual symptoms of being hypo. T3

Just having a bad day
April hasn't been a good month for me and synotoms. Been on only 50mcg levo since end of September. Only JUST this week got an increase to 75 thanks to the private bloods I did due to recommendations on this site. First I caught a sinus cold at the start of Easter break, which triggered a flare up

Blood test
I have an app with endocrinologist next week. I know he will want to take bloods so what should i do about my thyroxine . Normally if bloods were taken at 9 I d not take my tablet until after the test but my app isn’t until 1.30. Should I take my levo that day or not??

Notes for upcoming GP appointment
Apologies as this is a long read 🙃 I've got a GP appointment booked for 9th May, with a doctor I've not seen before and who is relatively new to the practice. I'm wanting to ask for a Rheumatology referral and have written the below out as a crib sheet for me to take in. I'd appreciate any thoughts

Advice Needed
I’ve had hypothyroidism for 20 years +, I take 200mcg Thyroxine and 60mcg Liothyronine and have for the 20 years since I was diagnosed. My blood test results have always been similar (usually towards the top of the range, but that’s my normal) Last years blood test was more mid range. I don’t have any

Had a blood test this morning - email results this evening!
I ask my Dr last week for a blood test to see what my CRP is. I have been struggling overt the last 2 weeks. Pain and fatigue on many days. My CRP gradually rose in Nov/Jan and March when it was 10.9. Today it is 3.7. I am at a loss. 7 weeks ago I began to avoid sugar and gluten and am pleased

New results after being discharged by endocrinologist.
Hi I will add my previous post but I will also give a quick recap: I first came on with low T4 levels but TSH in range. The doctors did regular tests saying it wasn't being tested properly. I eventually got referred to an endocrinologist. After a while of more testing I was discharged and told that

Hi allSo I've been publishing my results for many weeks now and have had fantastic advice from this page. Following on from my private blood test which I've attached, I booked to see a Gp but I tried a different one as I've been seeing the same one for 18 months. Well I feel absolutely deflated. I've

Latest blood tests
Hi everyone, I posted a while ago about getting all my underactive thyroid symptoms back, joint pains, fatigue, anxiety and others. I’d had test results saying my TSH was low, but the dr was saying that it was satisfactory. I managed to speak to another dr and she ordered full blood tests. My results

Medicheck results – help please
Today I received my results from Medichecks in preparation for my consultation with Roseway Labs next week. I wondered if you kind people could shed some light on the results, I’m a bit confused, especially with my ferritin which is now 429 (30-332) which was 43 (10 – 291) less than a year ago. I’ve

Blood results within range. Is this a problem?
Hi all,
I posted this query a few days ago and it was kindly analysed for me by greygoose (comments further down). However, I didn't understand what he/she was telling me - so I wonder if anyone could explain for me? Do the results indicate hypothyroidism? Do I need meds or can I tweak via

bizarre turnaround
hello! I posted here about a month ago complaining of lots of issues; dry skin, falling out hair etc, irritable, over emotional. My TSH was 0.8 and lower range T3, ok range T4. Since then I’ve lost 5lbs (diet and exercises) started taking vitamin b complex, vitamin d and a general health vitamin

Sore stomach on apixaban
I’ve been on apixaban for just over 2 months and have 3 weeks to go, then 4 weeks off before a d dimer blood test. I’ve had awful stomach cramps for a couple of weeks, blood in stools and leaking watery blood like I’m wetting myself (lovely picture!). The doctor is sending me for the fast track bladder

Sensitive post: BFP after 7th transfer but Prednisolone immediately stopped
Hi, yesterday I had the news I have been waiting for, finally a BFP after my 7th transfer (my first BFP in almost 3 years which ended in miscarriage). Whilst I am over the moon, I am also filled with fear. I have no more BETA tests booked in so next step is viability scan in 3 weeks. This morning I
