Im normal except that i dont feel that way
I have all the symptoms of Hypothyroidism so my GP ran TSH and T4 tests which came back within normal ranges so I had a private test done to see if I had antibodies. This came back as positive TPO 0.50 and TG 3.7 . I went to GP today to be told although I have antibodies and all the symptoms of Hashimotos

Dad’s iron studies
Hello all My dad has just collected his latest iron studies prior to call from GP at some point today. Would you mind taking a look and interpreting please. Have tried to use the Polish calculator to work out percentages but there’s an error and I can’t use it. 23/11/22 CRP <4 (0 - 9) Ferritin

Second hip replacement tomorrow
So: all dad’s affairs closed and finished. After 8 weeks alone with carers and her Alzheimer’s mum willingly moves into a care home next week and my delayed left hip replacement is tomorrow. What a dreadful few weeks. I’m off my Baricitinib and not doing too badly. I can go back on it in a couple of

Recommendations for a doctor/endocrinologist who has similar approach to Dr Barry Peatfield.
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a doctor who has a similar approach to Dr Peatfield in treating patients ie he/she is open to treating with both conventional medicines/hormone replacement but also treats in a functional way ie with adaptogens/supplements. Also will provide a customised protocol

I’m waiting on a total hysterectomy due to endo, fibroids and PID. I have seen a consultant on the NHS and also private to speed things up. Whilst I am waiting my private consultant wants me to have Zoladex injections. How have you all found this? Xx

Non-RLS but Potassium, cant find a more apt notice board
Wife is due hip replacement. NHS promised 3-4 years, so trying to go private.. On monday is the op, but Potassium level is low. A second test result is awaited tomorrow. So they won't operate if the P is low. So what is plan B, please? I am worried about her mental condition if they say no a second

P M R ?
I was diagnosed with GCA in March 2016. After a rocky ride with a few flares I came off Prednisolone on 10 August this year. From 5mg onwards I reduced Prednisolone using the dead slow taper and only reduced by 0.25mg at a time. That took 3 years to reduce from 5mg to zero and I was feeling

Running after surgery
Has anyone re-started running after surgery, especially knee surgery? I had an op to repair a torn #meniscus but keep feeling twinges around the joint which makes me feel nervous about attempting to run again.

Prolia use
I took Prolia for 3 years and had many uti s though I am susceptible to them. The consultant said if I couldn’t take it he couldn’t help me. This was roughly 2016 and my hip had already fractured with no trauma whilst on it. I had also about 5 spinal fractures, all treated with vertibroplasty. It took
