It's back after 7 years!
Hi ladies, not been following these groups for a while as had

2 weeks post hysterectomy
hysterectomy
they couldn’t achieve this laparoscopically alone so I had a laparoscopic procedure and then a full abdominal hysterectomy which ended up taking six hours and I was in hospital for two nights.

prostrap injections
I am listed for a
total
hysterectomy
but start (thursday!) prostrap injections to see how I would cope with no ovaries (with add back HRT) and to check the effect on my terrible ovulation symptoms. I was wondering if any of you can give me any insight in to your experience of propstrap please?

Pain relief. How do advocate for myself?
I'm currently on the waiting list for a
total
hysterectomy
for stage 4 and will be my 4th op. I've been on strong opioid pain meds for 11 years using them to varying degrees depending on my level. I've tried everything that's ever been offered but now I'm done.

A bit shell shocked by Hysterectomy recommendation
I am 40 and as he is recommended a
total
hysterectomy
he said I would be on HRT for 10-15 years and sending my body into early menopause feels scary. I am fortunate to have 2 beautiful daughters and am not planning to have any more children.

Endo & Pelvic Adhesions
At my initial diagnosis, i was stage 4. 10 years ago I had a sub-
total
hysterectomy
(they could not remove my cervix as it was stuck to my bladder with endo cysts).

I have questions about Tamoxifen, aka Hormonal Therapy
I have had 6 rounds of Chemo, & a
total
hysterectomy
. I've been doing Avastin since January 2022. Currently my CA-125 is a 43, elevated above the 35 Cancer marker. But my oncologist is monitoring me very closely with Ct-Scans every 3 months.

I was considering hysterectomy for endo and Pmdd but now I’m scared my eyes would be like this forever if I have a
total
hysterectomy
with ovary removal? Any advice / experiences?

post hysterectomy issues?
I’ve just had a
total
hysterectomy
because I had cancer. The surgeons assistant said there was a LOT of endometriosis stuck to everything. They had never diagnosed this (or indeed a second completely different cancerous tumour on my ovary) so now I’m thinking… what about the endometriosis?

Although it’s been grim I feel reassured that I have coped as it’s only 14 weeks since I had a
total

for uterine cancer.

Exhausted
I'm still recovering from
total
hysterectomy
because of cancer and on treatment for a cuti I've had 4 years. Obviously hormones have crashed as i had to come of hrt I feel cold one minute then hot flushes with sweats. Could this be Thyroid/adrenal gland problem?

Prostap longer than 6 months?
The pill doesn’t work for me as it made me depressed so patches were a good choice I recently had a consultation with a gynae surgeon who immediately started talking about
total
hysterectomy
or oophrectomy. I don’t want this and really feel it’s radical.

diagnosis process
They’ve warned they sometimes struggle to get the fluid off to test and if that’s the case they will go straight ahead and do a
total
hysterectomy
. There’s also a 2 week wait for results if they are able to do a biopsy. So not really any further forward re. Diagnosis.
