Total Knee Replacement
Hi Hope everyone is well. I need a bit of advice.- I've been given a date for my knee replacement..it's in August and will be done in north London at a good NHS hospital. They have a centre for elective surgery and to be honest it's probably the best hospital option available to me. But for anyone

Please enlighten me!!!
I have not had labs since 2023 and needed new RX. The following are results from 4/11 at which time I had not taken any thyroid meds for one week. I had really been concerned about the possibility of heart issues due to over 6 months of extreme fatigue, inability to do even light excercise, shortness

Hi, I have stage 4 endo, bilateral endometriomas, adeno, ovaries stuck to back of uterus and that stuck to bowel. I’ve tried the Mirena coil, decapeptyl 3 monthly injections with Tibilone and currently on Cerazette. I’m also on the waiting list for surgery at a BSGE centre. My question is how did

Endometriosis after hysterectomy?
Hi all I’m just looking for some advice. I had surgery (laparoscopy) in 2019 to laser the endometriosis off. I have since had a son 3 years ago (c-section) and in March this year I had a hysterectomy (kept ovaries that’s it) and laparoscopy to cut the endo away again. It was on my ovaries, fallopian

My Story
I've had RLS since childhood and didn't know that I had the malady. Of recent years, it has gotten worse and I was placed on 1mg Pramipexole which worked almost adequately. After some months/years, I returned to see my Primary Care Doctor and they said it was alright if I took 1/2 tablet more of

Any advice regarding hemorrhaging
I am in such a mess. I went for a hysterectomy on 5th September due to large fibroids and flooding. When they got in they found endometriosis scar lesions have attached my cervix to my bowel and left ovary. They didn't touch it and I was offered Zoladex instead which I declined as the side effects put

Hi all. I have Lymphodema in both my legs. I had total knee replacement 4 weeks ago, my knee is swollen and my lower leg and foot is is swollen. My skin is very dry in those areas. Obviously, I have swelling because of the surgery but also because of the Lymphoedema so decided to get back to my ritual

Total knee replacement and AF
Hi Firstly thank you to everyone who has offered their support previously since I was diagnosed with AF last November. Over the last few years I have been trying to hold off a total knee replacement. (TKR) I was walking more to strengthen my muscles to support my knee and managed to ditch the brace

Treated like 'Outsiders'
Diagnosed after lengthy amount of time undergoing symptoms and GP suggesting it may be 'all in the mind'... or menopausal (even knowing had full hysterectomy in my forties so way past that!)... eventually it took a distressed woman losing her hair, eyebrows and experiencing brain fog for doctor to 'guess

prostap hrt and hysterectomy
Hi I’m looking for some advice, I’ve always suffered with my periods since starting them. I’ve tried lots of different contraceptives and found I’m really sensitive. I’ve had 3 children and don’t plan to have any more. I had an ablation done in 2021 which reduced bleeding but made pain more intense

Blood in urine
Hi all I’m a type 2 diabetic, age 62, previous hysterectomy. I get recurring water infections and often the dipstick shows that up and nearly as many times I’m told no infection. I class myself as having painful bladder syndrome though that’s never been confirmed. My question today is that often along

Pressure on bladder - non typical uti symptoms
Last week, my mum started feeling sore "down there" She started getting up for a wee, a couple of times in the night. She doesn't have burning when urinating, and is passing normal amounts of urine. What she mainly feels is a pressure feeling in her groin...which is worse just after a wee. It seems

My employer finally terminated my contract last month because of the nature of my job and the deteriorating condition of my knee. I have tricompartmental osteoarthritis in my knee which has now got to the point where every step I take is sore, my job was contracting to a large company working on kitchen
