Steroids during first trimester

Hello everyone!

I am currently 6 w +2 days.

I am on low dose steroids ( 10 mg). I wanted to ask the guidance given on when to stop taking the steroids ( which week)? I ve been getting confusing answers. Thank you

Hey Blueberry, it will depend on your clinic and specific circumstances, but my clinic started weaning me off the day after I got to 12 weeks. I came off them completely about 2 weeks after I started weaning off them.

So you stopped them completely at 14 weeks? Yes sure I am waiting from my clinic for guidance but just wanted to have an idea

Yep, I came off them completely at 14 week. I weaned off them for 2 weeks.

Hello Blueberry211, my clinic advised to reduce the steroids by 5mg from 10w+1 and stop completely after taking them on 11w+0. As Mudra85 said, each clinic will have their own protocol and it may depend on why you were prescribed them in the first place.
