going to be taking
thalidomide
tablets in about a weeks time. Anyone else taking them and any good / bad results. I’m in between a rock and a hard place as Dr said. The drug has many different side effects.

Combined ttherapy
As Ruxolitinib is no longer working well, my haematologist has suggested combining either Danazol,
Thalidomide
or Prednisone with the Ruxo. Has.anyone any experience of this? What are the pros and cons? I am very worried about the side effects. Thankyou SkipperL

Vaccine decision - 25 weeks pregnant
I keep thinking about the
Thalidomide
drug back in the 60s and how it affected so many babies. The Covid vaccine is so new and I just can’t decide what’s for the best as I know mummy’s can get super ill if they catch Covid. What’s everyone’s thoughts?

Starting Thalidomide 10 years ago
But yes,
Thalidomide
for most of a year for me, starting 10 years ago. Quite rightly only used with great reluctance and care, but can be life saving.

Peripheral Neuropathy
Then I was on
Thalidomide
. Peripheral neuropathy is a common side effect of
Thalidomide
and there was a little damage but not that I could feel. I stopped taking
Thalidomide
then. Today they can see there is more peripheral neuropathy present. Does anyone with Behcets have this problem?

Thalidomide and RLS
I thought I would just leave this information here in case anyone finds it interesting. My GP gave me a print out of the info. when I saw him last week. I was so impressed that he had not only seen it, but thought about me and printed it out to give me! It may be worth someone following up... https:/

Enlarged Spleen
Additional medicines such as Interferon and
Thalidomide
are suggested to complement the Ruxolitinib. Radiology is an option or in the worst case, having the Spleen removed surgically. I have a telephone consultation on the 19th April and will discuss the options.

Living with Chronic Neuropathic Pain
I am sure we all remember the
thalidomide
story! A close cousin of
Thalidomide
, lenalidomide came onto the Australian market around 2007. It was a gift form God for those who had tried every medical protocol for conditions like Multiple Myeloma, and Amyloidosis and failed.

I am sure we all remember the

Thalidomide
, lenalidomide and several newer versions of this drug are now used to treat some blood disorders such as amyloidosys. I am passionate about medical research but somewhere along the way people must come before profits.

Low Dose Thalidomide
My haemo has floated the idea of low dose
thalidomide
in combination with prednisone as a potential treatment for my advanced myelofibrosis. I have read a couple of articles on the net which suggest quite a good response in reducing anemia and increasing platelets.

Drug testing/trials have come a long way since the days of
Thalidomide
and smoking beagles! These are often presented as facts despite a lack of rigor in the analysis of results – often by internet quacks!

Thalidomide and Lenalidomide in metastatic PCa.
Odd, perhaps, that
Thalidomide
& Lenalidomide would show mixed results. & now a cell study from India reports that: "
Thalidomide
inhibited 'Cell cycle' and 'E2F network', possibly accounting for its synergistic effects with docetaxel.
