Interesting read
Unfortunately, long-term use of
thalidomide
is limited, particularly by neurotoxicity. To date, results suggest that lenalidomide is more active than
thalidomide
and does not cause the neurotoxicity seen with
thalidomide
.

I just want to be normal! I hate this...
About to have a brain MRI and full eye assessment before I start Dapsone, I declined
thalidomide
. Is there anyone who has felt well and how? I am at the end of my very weak and aching tether..... I keep getting tonsillitis too...

Do you know about the Yellow Card scheme?
http://yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk/ It was introduced in 1964 following the
Thalidomide
tragedy and has proved to be a successful system for the early detection of emerging safety issues with medicines.

Leflunomide or Anti TNF
I just have this thing that anti TNF is so new and with all the news about
thalidomide
medication recently is making me even more apprehensive. What do we know about it? The longest person he has on it is only four years what if it turns out to give you other conditions.

Have tried Infliximab, Colchicine, Cyclosporine.and
Thalidomide
. I'm not tolerating the
Thalidomide
very well (3 - 4 capsules a week) and probably will go on to something else in the next couple of months.

Stopping Thalidomide treatment; starting Cyclophosphamide (in addition to masses of other stuff)
I blogged in September 2011 about starting
Thalidomide
treatment. It was going really well, and I was getting my steroids down, with the hope of getting off some of my other immunosuppressants as well.
Thalidomide
pills are taken nightly, and they are really easy to take.

has anyone else been affected by their mother's taking stilbesterol (DES)?
to have come a bit late in my life....and it does hurt a bit that in 30 years of being in the system and alerting drs to my stilbestrol history, no uk dr has even admitted hearing of this internationally notorious drug (which affected the internal reproductive organs of babies like me as greatly as

Hi
My Drs are running out of ideas how to treat me, and will be starting
Thalidomide
shortly. I have had Lupus and all ailments for about 16 years now, still trying to accept it though. Looking forward to chatting to all here.

Trying Thalidomide for cerebral vasculitis
If that happens we would have to stop the
Thalidomide
fast, to try to prevent irreversible damage. We get the
Thalidomide
direct from the hospital pharmacy and my husband collects it for me. Initially I was given only 4 weeks supply.

My experience with cerebral (CNS) vasculitis
I will never be able to come off the immunosuppressive drugs, and am on some stonkers now (
Thalidomide
obviously, but also Methotrexate which is used for drug abortions), so pregnancy is never going to happen. I'm not sure it even could.

Flu vaccines and whether to get them
My case of being on 4 immunosuppressive drugs at once (Methotrexate, Mycophenolate Mofetil, Azathioprine and
Thalidomide
) and steroids as well is very unusual. People on lower cocktails are likely to get better protection from the flu vaccine.
