Hand/foot swelling

Hi, I am a past list serv member and am a 16 year stage 4 RCC survivor. I have been doing very well over the years despite dealing with peripheral neuropathy from past treatments. For the past 6 months I have been dealing with hand and foot swelling. My internal med doc has switched me from HCTZ to Furosemide. I haven't noticed much difference. My latest scans and brain MRI that I have yearly show clean scans (thank goodness) however some of the research labs that I have ordered show that some are elevated. I have been told that those labs are inflammatory markers (such as IL12). Treatments I went through were 2 cycles of HDIL2 and Capcitabine, Thalidomide and INF-A all back in 2002. Has anyone else every experienced this condition? I no longer see my oncologist because my insurance no longer covers seeing him and I have also heard that he hasn't been in practice for the past year so my internal med doc orders my tests for me. The Dr. that treated me in 2002 was Dr. Robert Amato and would love to know what happened to him. I am planning to establish care with an oncologist that's in network but I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this condition?

Welcome to the group. Congrats on 16 years. My wife is at the 6 year mark. More topics will be posted.

16 years I am so happy to hear that. My husband was diagnosed 2 years ago with Stage 3 kidney cancer. We get scans every 6 months. It is so scary each time. Wishing you continued good results.

Google shows a Dr Robert Amato at a hospital in Houston, Texas. Not sure if it is the same one.
